Synopsis for "Elegy"

A group of heroes gather at the Avengers Mansion for the Floating Super-Hero Poker Game. After a few rounds Monica Rambeau arrives. Carol finds out that Monica is a new Avenger as well as the newly appointed Captain Marvel. After she asks about Mar-Vell and finds out that he is dead, she transforms into Binary and flies away. She looks for Mar-Vell's grave, and when she finds it, she mourns not for the fact that he's gone, but that she feels no emotion for his passing.

She recalls how they met and how they fell for each other. She leaves his grave, and afterwards, Logan finds her watching the sunset over the ocean. She tells him of her emotional detachment caused by Rogue and that she is going to join Starjammers to leave her old life completely behind. They say their goodbyes and she flies away once more.
