Synopsis for "Guardian Devil Part Six: The Devil's Divested"
Daredevil (Vol. 2) #6
Matt agonizes over Karen's death and contemplates suicide with a gun, but with his memory of Karen advising he never gives up on his mission as a vigilante, DD pulls himself together and searches out Macabes by pumping Turk for information, who provides him an address. DD fights through Macabes' men disguised as the Hand on the 1F, climbing an elevator filled with video projections and grabbing a piece of synthetic cloth. DD is then aided by Baal, and DD realizes that Baal is just another costume which he couldn't detect the machinery on Baal's body earlier due to Macabes' drug and the noise during his imprisonment affecting his heightened senses. After confirming this, DD arrives at Macabes' office only to learn that he is actually Mysterio in disguise.

Synopsis for "Spit out of Luck"
Punisher (Vol. 5) #6
From her hospital bed, Ma Gnucci ordered her men to kill the Punisher. Meanwhile, two vigilantes inspired by the Punisher, the Elite and Mr. Payback, were reported to be tied to several killings. Mr. Payback used a rocket launcher to shoot down a business executive's helicopter, while the Elite killed several street gangsters from his bathroom window, afterwhich he hid his white mask and rifle from his son. Ma Gnucci's men traced the Punisher to an apartment complex. Detectives Martin Soap and Molly von Richthofen waited in their car, until they saw Ma Gnucci's men drive away to confront the Punisher. When the criminals arrived at the apartment complex, the Punisher pulled out a claymore with a wire from a duffel bag and detonated it, blowing up a car full of gangsters. Then, the Punisher shot at the other gangsters with a machine gun, cutting them down, before running into an alley. The Punisher was confronted by the remaining hitmen and snapped the last one's neck, killing him, but not before taking a direct hit in the chest. Even with his armor, this caused him to pass out in the alley.
