History

Marvel Mind was the nickname given to him by his father, Minister Marvel, grandson of the late Captain Marvel. Minister Marvel used the power of Marvel Mind to suggest to the people of Hala that they remain on the planet despite the impending arrival of the Phoenix Force, convinced that his passage to the planet would bring his people a great gift and he would reform his name, which would no longer be associated with that of a traitor. As the Phoenix's arrival approached, he revealed his plans to his son before killing him by cutting his throat and then committing suicide upon the arrival of the resurrected Mar-Vell.
