Notes
- In addition to rolling over all the character profiles from the original Playtest Rulebook, the introductory adventure, "Enter: HYDRA", was retooled and released separately as a PDF download on Marvel's site. Differences from the original story include:
- The suggestion of Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) and Jessica Jones as established characters for the roster, whom were both absent from the Playtest Rulebook's roster.
- The Avengers Mansion was previously being rebuilt after an attack. It is now partially a museum.
- The replacement of Okoye with a generic police captain to alert the Avengers to the HYDRA attack.
- Previously, there were 3 HYDRA grunts for every hero on the mission (for a range of 9-18 grunts). Now, there are 2 for every hero (for a range of 6-12).
- Previously, the heroes defeat the grunts and then are promptly ambushed by HYDRA's heroes. Now, they go to talk with Patel and Chen before being ambushed.
- Previously, the Avengers fought HYDRA's heroes, tech-based duplicates of their own roster. Now, they fight anywhere between 1-6 "Armored Agents", HYDRA soldiers wielding Iron Man suits, much like Tactical Force.
- Previously, Narrators were instructed to use an inverted HYDRA grunt profile for Patel and Chen. Now, they are instructed to use the Average Civilian profile included in the profile section.
- If the heroes lose, previously Patel and Chen would be distraught at the loss of all their data. Now, they express hope that their off-site back-ups of the data are intact.
- Included are profiles for the Armored HYDRA Agent, the standard HYDRA Agent and the HYDRA Officer.
