Synopsis
The game is loosely based on Secret Wars (2015 Event) and is set in the Battleworld, a patchwork world made up of fragments of different realities abducted by God-King Maestro. Each land belongs to a separate House ruled by a Baron which are in a state of uneasy alliances between one another. Many years after the Battleworld's formation, the uneasy peace is disturbed by the sudden death of the God-King Maestro leading to the Houses vying for control over its resources.[2]
Notes
- The game is developed by Kabam, who previously developed Marvel Contest of Champions.
- The game closed on March 31, 2022.
Trivia
- Tie-in web series include Marvel Realm of Champions: Realm on the March and Marvel Realm of Champions: Elegy.
- Before shutting down, there were plans to introduce more playable Houses, including:
- The Clan of Wolverine, lead by Baron Shogun Wolverine, which would have been characterized by the duality between Logan's civilized and wild sides.[3]
- The Ultron Network,[4] lead by Baron Vision Prime, which was seeking independence from the House of Iron prior to the story's abrupt end.
- Los Mercs 4 Gold,[4] lead by Baron Deadpool Supreme.
- The Symbiote Empire,[4] lead by a Baron who would've worn black armor and ridden a Symbiote Dragon.[5]
- A House that would have combined elements of Doctor Doom and Guillotine, lead by a male and female version of Doctor Doom.[5][6][7]
