- During this story, Mar-Vell reportedly loses his soul due to the shadow powers bequeathed to Primus. When Primus is later fatally injured, he bestows his own soul upon Mar-Vell so that he could return to Earth's dimension. This occurrence, and any possible consequences from it, are never addressed and can be presumed to have been retconned out of Mar-Vell's continuity.
