Synopsis for "A Sight for Sore Eyes"

A nearsighted burglar breaks into a woman's apartment and awakens her when he stumbles over some boxes lying on the floor. Scared, the burglar takes his leave. Later, he learns of a local scientist who has invented a serum that cures nearsightedness. He breaks into the laboratory and shoots two scientists. He injects himself with the serum, only to discover that it was designed to cure the eyesight of bats. The man begins slowly changing into a man/bat hybrid.

Synopsis for "The Cave of Death"

An escaped prisoner falls into an underground cave and can't get back up to the hole he fell through so he looks for another way out. He finds a passage blocked by a large rock but he is too big to fit through so he moves the rock into a position that will disguise his hiding place. There is water in the cave so he thinks he will wait seven days and try again after he has lost some weight, but after seven days he is too weak to move the stone aside and realizes that he will die in the cave.
