Synopsis for 1st story

Spider-Man and Doc Ock are fighting in an alley. Spider-Man makes quips about Doc Ock not being able to hit him, especially after he shoots webs over Ock's eyes. Ock gets in a lucky shot and then is able to grab Spider-Man by the throat with one of his mechanical arms.

Spider-Man points behind Ock at a glowing green portal that is opening up behind him. But Ock thinks that Spider-Man is trying to trick him and doesn't look. Suddenly a costumed superhero comes flying out of the portal and crashes into Ock's back and knocks him far away from Spider-Man.

Spider-Man swings after them and arrives to find the superhero apologizing to Ock. He's explaining that he's not from that dimension and he hopes he didn't hurt anyone. When Spider-Man arrives the new arrival asks him if Ock has superpowers, hoping that he can take the hit. Spider-Man says that Ock is alive which is good enough for him.

Doc Ock recovers while they are talking and hits each of them with an arm, knocking Spider-Man into another street. Suddenly Ock comes flying through a wall and the superhero walks out and says that Ock won't be trying to kill anyone else for awhile. The cops arrive and tell Spider-Man and the stranger to freeze. The unknown superhero grabs Spider-Man and flies off.

They land on a rooftop so they can talk. Spider-Man explains that Doc Ock doesn't have super strength so you can't hit him that hard. And if he didn't hit him that hard then Ock might still be on the loose. The other hero apologizes and says he thought the guy had superpowers. But he mostly hit one of the octopus arms anyway.

Spider-Man asks the guy who he is but then notices that the guy is crying. The guy explains that he is worried about his mother. He is from another dimension. One of his villains that has the power to access other dimensions has his mother and baby brother hostage and has thrown him into a bunch of other dimensions.

The hero tells Spider-Man a little about his life. He inherited his powers from his father. They kicked in his senior year of high school and he learned about being a superhero from his dad. But then his dad murdered a bunch of superheroes and said he was really on Earth to take over the world and that he should help his dad conquer the planet.

Instead he fought his dad to protect the planet and his dad left Earth. During the fight his dad said terrible things about his mom and broke her heart. And now this villain has used information from other dimensions to find out who he was and where he lived. Now he's stuck in this dimension until the villain Angstrom Levy comes to get him. Angstrom is hoping to wear him down in these other dimensions until Angstrom is able to kill him.

Spider-Man tells the other hero to stick with him while he is stuck in this dimension. He figures he is telling the truth and is a good guy since he was initially concerned about Doc Ock's health and asking if he was okay when he crashed into him. Spider-Man tells him his name and the other hero gives him a hard time, thinking his name is kind of lame. So Spider-Man asks what his name is and he tells him his name is Invincible.

Spider-Man tells Invincible that he doesn't have much room to talk. Invincible apologizes, he wasn't trying to be mean. He tells Spider-Man that it's just kind of lazy. He has spider powers and he goes by Spider-Man. That would be like if he said "I've got super powers...I'll be Super-Man". It's just not very creative. Spider-Man just sort of shakes his head.

Invincible asks him if there are any villains that he needs help with while he's stuck there anyway. He's very strong so he could help out. Spider-Man tells him he wouldn't mind help in tracking down Doc Ock. He says they should stop by Avengers Tower to see if anyone has spotted him. Invincible wonders who the Avengers are and Spider-Man explains that they are the premier super team in this dimension.

They arrive at Avengers Tower and Spider-Man yells that he is home. His Aunt May greets him. Spider-Man and Invincible decide it is okay to remove their masks since Invincible is from another dimension. Invincible introduces himself as Mark Grayson and Spider-Man tells him his name is Peter Parker. Peter's wife Mary Jane walks up and asks if they are still on for movie night, but sees that he has a guest and correctly figures that he will be otherwise occupied. Her and May walk off to watch a movie themselves.

Invincible is impressed by Spider-Man's super hot wife. Spider-Man is a little shocked that Invincible isn't surprised he's married to someone like Mary Jane, most people are. Invincible isn't sure why he would be surprised; Spider-Man is athletic and decent looking with a good sense of humor. This makes Spider-Man like him a lot more.

The rest of the Avengers arrive at this point. Joking around, Invincible tries to guess their names based on how Spider-Man named himself. He calls Iron Man "Robot-Man", Wolverine "Claw-Man", Captain America "Flag-Man", The Sentry "Fabio-Man", Spider Woman "Bat-Woman", and Luke Cage "Black-Man". Spider-Man shakes his head and thinks maybe he has a point about his name.

Spider-Man introduces Invincible to the team. He explains about their fight with Doctor Octopus. Iron Man's armor picks up a police broadcast about Doc Ock tearing up the harbor. Spider-Man and Invincible head out to take care of it.

They get to the harbor to find Doc Ock threatening civilians. When he sees them he says that he knew they would come if he caused enough damage. Now he can kill them. But Invincible quickly flies at Ock and tackles him into the harbor. Then Invincible tosses him back up on the bridge. Ock swings one of his arms at Spider-Man but he dodges and it hits Invincible. This annoys him and he flies in and grabs Ock's arms and starts tearing them apart.

Spider-Man is impressed and wonders if they'll have time for Invincible to help him with some of his other villains like Electro or Sandman. But Invincible tells him probably not because he notices a portal starting to open nearby.

They shake hands and Spider-Man wishes him luck with Angstrom Levy. Invincible tells him that he actually likes the name Spider-Man, it's grown on him. Invincible flies through the portal and Spider-Man swings home to watch movies with his hot wife.
