Synopsis for 1st story
Reed Richards invites Tony Stark, Beast, and Steve Rogers to hear a distorted message sent by Captain Marvel through one of his deep-space surveillance arrays: she wanted Reed to get a team to "come and see". After hearing the message, Reed had put a virtual imaging drone on the coordinates Danvers had sent, which he then reveal to everyone it is a motionless Galactus, who is directly heading toward Earth. Though Reed doesn't have any other proof to verify Galactus is dead, he suspect a possibility that Galactus is coming for help. Other than ensuring no third party harvest Galactus's technology or biology, Rogers, Stark, and McCoy agree to have the Avengers and X-Men to work with the Fantastic Four to investigate the deceased Devourer.
The joint effort travel to the edge of the Solar System and finds a clearly dead Galactus. Wolverine then spots someone watching them from Galactus' mouth. This prompt the team to journey into Galactus' corpse while leaving War Machine behind on the Quinjet to serve for their quick evac or backup should something goes wrong. After they land inside the corpse, Iron Man scans Galactus and is surprised to find that there is a breathable atmosphere inside, and along with something interfering everyone's comms. Wolverine impulsively takes his helmet off to confirm the air is breathable, but he also note that he smell something somewhere before. Reed is left very befuddle concerning that Galactus has a physical humanoid body, as the Devourer's visually perceived form is dictated by the biases of the observer. Reed also detects heat trail that is probably another crew harvesting Galactus. The group splits up with the Four and Stark following Galactus' residual energy to its source in order to harvest his biomatter and destroying the corpse while the others follow the heat trail.
Stark notice that Galactus' residual energy are being harnessed and routed to specific points, interior sites that could serve as life support. Galactus has been hollowed out and converted into a spacecraft for someone to live inside his corpse. Reed also discover that the residual energy is not the Power Cosmic, and it doesn't behave like electricity. But rather functioning as expendable energy, similar to more like an organism.
Meanwhile, the other group travels deeper until Wolverine smell something that terrifies him and now knowing what this is. But before he could tell his comrades to leave right now, they are confronted by a zombified Captain Marvel. Wolverine tells everyone that Carol is already dead and it's already too late to save her. Carol retort to Wolverine that she is "something new" that he never known. Magik quickly cuts down Carol with her sword. But just as Magik express over how easy for her to kill Captain Marvel, she is surprised and dragged by a zombified Groot from the roof. More zombies including those of Skrulls, Kree and Shi'ar burst through the walls and attacks Wolverine and the others. The group are swarmed by the zombies and Thor is forced to flee and returning to War Machine to destroy Galactus. But Thor is stopped by a zombified Gladiator.
The Four and Iron Man traces the residual energy to a chamber holding a pool. Then to everyone's shock and surprise, the Silver Surface emerges from the pool and shed his silver skin, revealing his undead corpse before biting into Johnny Storm's neck. More zombies appears and attack the Four and Iron Man. Johnny is resurrected into a zombie but only to have his head quickly pulverized by Ben Grimm. Reed and Susan are forced to leave behind Iron Man and Ben, but Susan is somehow turned into a zombie and traps Reed in her force-field.
Outside, Rhodes sees Thor emerging out of Galactus' mouth and opens the door, but only to be attack by a zombified Thor. The Quinjet is then destroyed by Gladiator and the other zombies.
Back on Earth, Franklin and Valeria are being watched over by Spider-Man. While playing chess with Spider-Man, Val express her concerns about her parents. While they talk, Franklin sees something in the skies falling to Earth. That object is Galactus.
