Synopsis for 1st story

As Felicia realizes it was her powers unconsciously causing Mary Jane's bad luck, Mary Jane berates her for not being able to go back to her kids because of her and Peter. While Felicia tries to explain herself since she said she didn't want him back last time,[1] S'ym comments on how they were betraying each other and is astounded by the Earth girls. As the Guardian blasts S'ym to death, Felicia moves to give Mary Jane a chance at escape, but her sacrifice is ignored as Mary Jane remains and berates her for thinking she'd be offended that Felicia got back with her ex.

Mary Jane continues that she has a life independent of Peter B. Parker, as she now has children to care for now, and is mad that Felicia tied herself in knots not telling her and causing their bad luck. Mary Jane is happy that Felicia and Peter are together because friends are happy for each other. Felicia is happy that they're still friends and asks Mary Jane to tell Peter goodbye for her, but Mary Jane retorts that she should do so herself. Now, with Felicia mending her guilt, her powers now grant good luck to Mary Jane, who draws a SEVEN SEVEN SEVEN Jackpot, gaining the power to rewrite reality in her immediate vicinity, killing the Guardian and reviving the dead S'ym. After Felicia admits she was wrong, Mary Jane reminds her they're friends, and the two hug. S'ym guides them into the vault to find Belasco's Soulsword.

As her powers are on a time limit, S'ym owes them for his revival and swears not to betray them anymore, stopping Felicia from taking the sword to warn them that the sword's magic will forcefully latch onto their souls forever, prohibiting any return to Belasco. When Mary Jane admits such a stupid plan, Felicia corrects her as Belasco planned to kill whoever returned with the sword, which S'ym confesses as much. As they need the sword to return home, Felicia makes a gamble and reaches for it, much to Mary Jane's objection. Shortly thereafter, outside the tower, S'ym is shaken by Felicia's choice, as Felicia defends her position as their only option. Mary Jane promptly reminds them about the army of mercenaries outside, all of whom are trained on the trio.
