Mary Jane Watson[src]

History

Mary Jane Watson was the wife of Peter B. Parker. They fell in love during Peter's continued career as Spider-Man, and eventually got married. However, Peter's reluctance to commit and have children with MJ put a strain on their relationship and they divorced. After returning home from a multiversal adventure that left him impressed with a young kid named Miles Morales from the alternate reality of Earth-1610, Peter resolved to fix his relationship with his ex-wife.[1]

The two of them reconciled and soon had a daughter, Mayday. She inherited Peter's powers and was already wall-crawling before she was one year old. Peter also made her a web-shooter, which he later admitted was not the best idea. Unable to leave Mayday with any normal babysitters, Peter would take her to work, even though MJ asked not to bring her into any fights.

One day after Peter returned from the Spider Society to tuck Mayday in, MJ went over to see them and asked whether he brought the baby to a fight. Peter denied doing so and asked MJ whether she thought he was good at being a dad. She replied that it was too late for asking and that there was no playbook for her to dealing with any of them.[2]
