Mary Jane was a girlfriend of Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man. Once she was kidnapped by Doc Ock, but Spider-Man defeated the villain and rescued her.[1]
Years later, Mary Jane became an actress, but when Peter missed her show, she started to doubt if she could rely on him. For some reason, she told him she wished he was more like Harry. It's unknown what was between her and Harry, but it's possible that he used Mary Jane to lure Peter into his trap. When Peter's rejected alien symbiote bonded to Eddie Brock, his rival from Daily Bugle, they became Venom and kidnapped MJ. As always, Spider-Man saved her and defeated the villain. After that she knew he would always be there for her.[2]
