History
On Earth-TRN911, Mary Jane Watson was a university student, good friends with several of her classmates, including Harry Osborn, Gwen Stacy, "Flash" Thompson and Peter Parker. They were also friends with exchange student Klaus de Lichtenbad, who eventually left the United States to return to Lichtenbad.[1]
She was very good friends with Parker, who held her in high regard.[2] Harry thought of Mary Jane as his girlfriend -an opinion that was debatable in the group of friends-, and he got angry whenever Peter proved to be more interesting than him. When Peter obtained top score in a test, Mary Jane was openly impressed and described Peter as an up-and-comer. Harry almost came to blows with Peter to stop him from "stealing" Mary Jane, even if Peter insisted Mary Jane was not taken.[3]
During the last year of university, the science teacher showed Mary Jane and the other students a huge robot computer developed by La Corporación Electrónica. With the teacher already in the classrom, Harry Osborn openly criticized Peter Parker for being a nerd, almost coming to blows. Mary Jane scolded them both for fighting in the middle of class in front of the teacher, and when Harry insisted, she gave him a bad look. Eventually the teacher authorized Harry and Peter to solve their differences in a boxing match - but Mary Jane was not seen in the audience.[4]
Soon afterward, Mary Jane and her friends were visited by Klaus de Lichtenbad, who had become Duke and ruler of his homeland. Klaus invited all of his university friends to visit Lichtenbad for tourism, and they agreed. Mary Jane shared a room with Gwen. During the visit, however, Lichtenbad was shaken by a revolution and Klaus, who was really a megalomaniac, died violently. Peter prompted Flash and Harry to cut their holidays short and return to the United States, which they did.[1] Mary Jane and Gwen apparently continued their stay, although Gwen was back in the States soon afterward[5] and eventually Mary Jane was seen again at the University grounds.[6]Personality
Notes
- Unlike her Earth-616 counterpart, who has red hair, Earth-TRN911's Mary Jane's hair is black.
- On Earth-TRN911, Peter Parker dreamed that he was marrying Gwen Stacy. In the dream, Mary Jane was among the wedding guests, and may have been the maid of honor as she was next to Gwen when she exchanged vows with Peter.[2]
- The story in Amazing Spider-Man (MX) #150 replicates, in an extended form, "The Electronic Brain" from Amazing Spider-Man #8, which had been already translated and published in Amazing Spider-Man (MX) #8 - but now taking place at a later point in time, with Peter attending University instead of high school. Mary Jane replaces the role of Liz Allan in the original story.
