History
Mastermind planned his attack on the Women's Day 1979 Parade, to disrupt the Women's rights campaign. He brewed poisoned soda in his lair underneath the Brooklyn Bridge, that caused whoever drank it to fall asleep for one hour. All of the suffragettes bought his soda due to the hot weather and fell asleep in the street, causing the parade to stop. Peter Parker, who had been reporting on the event noticed that criminals had started to steal the ladies' purses as they were sleeping in the street and webbed the criminals up, not long after he and Carol Danvers, who had also been reporting on the event, changed into their superhero aliases and realized that Mastermind's soda was the reason, everyone was falling asleep. After a long battle, Mastermind was eventually chased back to his lair under the bridge where he was beaten and after the threat of dropping him into the water below, he told them that there is no cure, but the soda's effect would wear off one hour after drinking.[1]
