Personal History

Matt Fritchman was born in Chicago in 1975. He is a respected director of music videos. His work as a comics writer grew out of his presence on a message board run by Warren Ellis, where he signed his works as "Matt Fraction, Man of Action".

Matt Fraction is married to fellow writer Kelly Sue DeConnick.

Professional History

Fraction began as a comics writer in 2005. He started working consistently for Marvel in 2007, when he began writing Punisher War Journal. In 2014, he took an extended break from the company to focus on creator-owned writing and television scripts.

Work History

Accolades

  • For his work on Hawkeye (Vol. 4) Matt Fraction earned a nomination for Eisner Award in 2013 in "Best Writer" category. The series earned a nomination in "Best New Series" category. And also earned a nomination in "Best Continuing Series" category.[1]
