History
Four years after supervillains took over the United States, Bullseye fought and defeated Daredevil by stabbing him with one of Elektra's Twin Sais, Daredevil then threw himself off a waterfall, leading Bullseye to believe he died.[1] A ragged part of his Daredevil costume was later mounted in Red Skull's trophy room.[2]
After becoming blind, Clint Barton sought out a sensei known as Stick in a hidden monastery to train him so that he could continue fighting Red Skull. After Barton found him, Stick smiled and told Barton to call him Matt.[3]
Stick trained Barton for years, but Barton didn't want to let go of the past. So, as a final test, Stick forced Barton to infiltrate a stronghold of the Hand to target someone and gave him a box to be used to pierce the target's heart. Barton infiltrated the stronghold and discovered that the target was Elektra. After a brief fight, Barton opened the box Stick gave him and discovered that the box contained flowers. As it turned out, Stick and Elektra were still lovers but couldn't meet with each other, so, Stick used Barton to deliver flowers to Elektra for their anniversary. Stick then appeared as a hologram from the box and told Barton that the final test was to make him let go of his desire of revenge and move on. Barton refused and left Stick's teaching.[4]Paraphernalia
