Matt Murdock had a history practically identical to that of his Earth-616 counterpart, including the accident that left him blind and gave him enhanced senses, the death of his father by Fixer for not wanting to lose a rigged match, his degree in law and the opening of the law firm Nelson & Murdock together with his best friend Foggy Nelson and the resolution to become the masked vigilante Daredevil. He took revenge for his father's death with the Fixer's heart attack, and then faced a series of costumed villains similar to his counterparts, such as Electro, Owl, Matador, Purple Man, Mr. Fear and his Fellowship of Fear. Furthermore, among his first cases there was that, both on a judicial and vigilante basis, of the two brothers of Irish origin, the priest Father Mullen and the Councilor candidate for mayor William Doyle, with the arrest of Doyle's mafia accomplice, Stewart Nagle and Doyle's confession to having killed his abusive father.[1]
