Maurice Fortuit was one of the many children of Adam Destine and the Djinn Elalyth.

In modern days, while snowbound in the female companionship Simone and Mimi, he was targeted by Lenz's agents, who were looking for the Gryphon. Despite his powers, Maurice was killed in the fight.

His death was witnessed by his brother Albert, from his Seventh Moon Monastery in Nepal.
