Aunt May is middle-aged. She, along her husband, Ben Parker, took care of her nephew Peter Parker after the death of his parents. Generally she supports Peter, even siding against her husband during family disagreements. After Ben's death, she alone took care of Peter.

For the April 16, 2014 edition of the Daily Bugle she was interviewed by Ken Ellis regarding the OsCorp donations to some New York hospitals. She admitted to looking forward to learning about some new technology even if they were "a little scary."
