Medea, the progeny of King Aeëtes of Colchis and the dark magic goddess Hecate, was renowned for her formidable sorcery, being hailed as both a sorceress and a witch of immense power.
Quest for the Golden Fleece[]
Medea's involvement was pivotal in assisting Jason and the legendary Argonauts on their daring quest to obtain the Golden Fleece. Medea utilized her potent magic not only to safeguard Jason but also committed a harrowing sacrifice—her own brother—ensuring Jason's successful escape. Upon the triumphant return of Jason and the Argonauts.[2]
Tragic End[]
Medea and Jason sought refuge together, establishing a life in Corinth where their union was sanctified in marriage. Their marital bliss resulted in the birth of two sons, Mermeros and Pheres, marking a period of apparent tranquility in their lives. However, the tides turned when Jason callously abandoned Medea, choosing another woman as his new consort. Consumed by rage and a thirst for retribution, Medea's vengeance knew no bounds. In a chilling act of retaliation, she committed an unspeakable atrocity, gruesomely ending the lives of her own beloved children and the intended bride of Jason. Craftily employing poisoned attire, Medea orchestrated a scheme that not only avenged her betrayal but also stripped Jason of any hope of securing heirs through his new union.[2][3]
Modern Age[]
She was recruited into The Fist and was the one to launch The Fist's first official attack: starting a zombie outbreak in Chicago.[2] She was opposed by Captain America, Elektra, and Spider-Man. The trio confronted her at ground zero and was able to prevent her army from leaving McCormick Place. Medea was confronted by Elektra, who managed to kill her and lift the curse.[4]Attributes
