History
When Melinda was only a child, she saw her father Max murder her mother Maria, and then attempt to kill both her and her brother Michael. Max was shot dead by the police, and Michael and Melinda ended up in foster care.
Years later, as an adult, Melinda was haunted by her father, who had become the malignant spirit Wallow, capable of feeding off of and amplifying people's negative emotions. Eager to finish off his children, Wallow used his powers to compel Melinda to jump off of a ten-story building. As luck would have it, Ghost Rider was passing nearby, and he found Melinda still barely alive and rushed her to the hospital.
After trying to compel Michael to suicide, Wallow went to Melinda's bedside and tried to push her to kill herself. However, Melinda managed to overcome his influence thanks to her hatred of her father, and instead attacked him. Ghost Rider soon arrived and subjected Wallow to his Penance Stare, dissolving him and sending him to Hell.[1]
Melinda's activities since then are unrevealed.
