History
Melissa Bowen is the mother of Tandy Bowen, the alter-ego of Dagger. Caught up in the lifestyle of the idle rich, Melissa neglected her daughter until Tandy ran away from home.[1]
Even then, Melissa was largely ambivalent to Tandy's absence. When Tandy's friend Father Delgado arranged a reunion between the two women, Melissa dismissed Tandy's behavior as acting out in order to embarrass her. This was the final wedge between mother and daughter, who haven't spoken since.[2]Attributes
