History

Melody Maxwell was a Mutant who in the 4th grade discovered her ability was to make plants grow but found herself unable to stop it. She contacted the X-Men and Storm and Wolverine visited her and helped her develop her abilities to both grow and shrink plants on command. Later that day, Melody took the pair to her school flower show but wass knocked into some venus fly traps and caused them to grow to an immense size and attack. The fly traps overwhelmed Wolverine and Storm, so melody attempted to shrink them but was unsuccessful. To defeat the fly traps, Melody instead grew another flower which trapped the fly traps. Returning home, Melody asked to join the X-Men but they tell her she needs more time to develop her abilities.
