Quote1 Of all the prisons in the world the most feared and the most hated is the one you are the warden of! It sits on it cold gray slab of rock in the middle of the sea, and it's known to the world outside simply as... "Drury's Dungeon"! Quote2

Synopsis for ""They Wait in Their... Dungeon""

A sadistic warden takes pleasure in treating his inmates with exceptional cruelty. He whips prisoners for violating his no cigarette policy. He denies a condemned prisoner a last request to write a letter to his mother and he takes particular delight in watching that same prisoner die in the gas chamber. At one point, warden Drury is surrounded by prisoners. He calls for his guards but no one shows up. The warden runs to escape from the mob of killers until he runs into a steel door. At first he thinks that he has found refuge from his attackers but he then realizes that the door leads into the gas chamber that is still filled with poisonous fumes from the earlier prisoner execution. As the convicts close in, warden Drury is faced with the horrendous choice of entering the chamber which would result in his excruciating death or facing the convicts who would love to tear him apart limb by limb.
