Synopsis for "Sympathy for the Devil"
Mephisto's quest for pure souls takes a mutant turn when he sets his demonic sights on X-Factor!
Notes
- Mephisto's offer to merge Jean and Madelyne is essentially what happens in X-Factor #38.
- Angel was seriously injured and hospitalized in X-Factor #10-X-Factor #11. Because his teammates are not greatly worried about Angel, the story likely occurs before Jean and Cyclops learn at the end of X-Factor #11 that his wings need amputation, and must occur before Scott travels to Alaska in X-Factor #13. Angel next appears in Marvel Fanfare #40, before his apparent suicide in X-Factor #15.
