The Mercy Crown was a demonic artifact from Limbo. In the hands of Madelyne Pryor, it functions similar to Cerebro, although it tracks mutants by souls rather than psychically.[1]
History
On the night of the attack on Krakoa by Orchis at the third Hellfire Gala, the only death Madelyne Pryor felt was Jean Grey's.[2] Believing that other mutants were still alive, Madelyne Pryor began using the Mercy Crown to magically track mutants across the globe.[3]
