  • On behalf of the rest of the Administrator team, I'm going to ask you to please stop creating articles for such specific and small-scale historical events with technically little relevancy to the Marvel Universe like Roswell UFO Incident or Assassination of John F. Kennedy. Some of these events like Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki could perfectly fit under World War II.

Please take into account that the Marvel Database is an encyclopedia focused first and foremost on events pertaining solely to the Marvel Universe(s), it's unnecessary to create articles for historial events, especially when many of them have little difference to their counterparts in the real world.

    • Ok sorry just trying to help. I could not find any referenced information or an image referring to this event. So I thought I would create it.

Right I will change it so it only refers to the event that happened on Earth-199999. Sorry again.

    • I have added a link to move to a glossary page. Hopefully that's a better option?

  • Hey, a few of your recent contributions caught my attention, so I'm going to direct you to the following paragraph from the site's Policies and Guidelines:

Avoid Second-Hand Data: In order to ensure the reliability of the information added to the site, it's important that you have personally read or watched the material about which you're adding information. In other words, if you haven't read a certain comic, try not to add information about it.

Stark Omniversal Multitasking Software was a glaring example of a page you cobbled together using information from another article. The place of creation was wrong, the creators were wrong, the first appearance was wrong, the first sentence had nothing to do with the software's creation. The text wasn't even properly adapted to a new page, since it made mention of "the armor" which hadn't been previously referenced in the text. You did something similar with Mistress (Earth-616), adding the category that it was a smart watch despite the fact in its first chronological appearance it's established that Motherboard exists within Project eScape and is only patched up to other devices in the real world, something that is even adressed in the article's page.

So while your desire to contribute to the Marvel Database is appreciated, please try to edit about things you know about.

    • Understood thanks for your corrections always appreciated when advice is given it helps fill the gaps in my knowledge as a amateur fan of Marvel Comics. Thanks again.

  • Copying content that other people wrote by splitting one article into multiple articles without the proper edit history associated thus implying they're your own work is a form of plagiarism and is a blockable offense on this site. Please cease this practice immediately. Thanks.

    • Well Skrull Empire for example, already has a Skrull Empire/Expanded History subpage, so in addition to being plagiarism, that other article was basically a duplicate of an existing subpage as well.

Anyway, the best place to present a detailed case for standardization would probably be a debate thread on Board:Suggestions.

    • Yep understood, sorry I will ask. Again I wasn't trying to take credit, I just wanted to make pages follow the same format. Thank you for the up date and the warning, rather than just blocking me. That is very much appreciated. Cheers.

  • Hi!

I block you for the time for you to realize I've been asking you several times to have your edits referenced. Last example in line: Japanese History.

The problem is your edits are unreferenced, so unverifiable by others who might want to read it or confirm the wikia's text. Furthermore, any text added that way could be copy-pasted or referenced from wrong information we can find on internet.

    Have a good day.

    • Ok Sorry, I will continue to do my best on the site, please make any alterations on my work. I will make mistakes, I'm only human, but also I'm trying to help.

I will do my best in following your guidelines. Thank you for your time.

    • It's not really my guidelines at this point: If you add something, (double-)check that it is actually included in the reference you use (1. don't add made-up or exaggerated material, 2. use references relevant to the material you add).

It would be great if you could start by revising the pages you've already created.

  • Please, when you're creating a page in a similar vein to John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (Earth-616) (or any page, really), write using a structure proper of an encyclopedia. Write with flow, connecting ideas and avoiding unnecessary paragraph breaks.

    Thank you.

  • Please be extra careful when altering links of things said by Deadpool. He has comic awareness, thus he often talks about characters from realities other than Earth-616, for example, the Ryan Reynolds comment in Spider-Man/Deadpool #23 is about "Ryan Reynolds (Earth-1218)." Thanks.

    • Yep thanks for the correction. I will double check which universe he is referring too. Thanks again

  • Hi!

Please don't add categories if nothing on the page mentions it. And only if referenced (in comics).

    Thanks.

  • Hi!

Could you add references to the pages or explain to me how you've determined what is told in this edit: http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Earth-TRN388?diff=prev&oldid=3726624

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi!

I saw your edits on "lunar deities". I've regrouped those with "Moon Deities" who already existed.

Also don't forget to add the "god/goddess of..." in the occupation field, with reference.

    Have a good day!
