Scusami ancora :)

      __________________________________________________________________________

Sorry, after Nick's edits converted the generic membership pages into personal pages for both Kenny and Loreen, I thought he was planning to create those pages. However, I totally agree with improving the characters pages. Sorry again :)

    1) Use of (Last appearance), we are retiring this tag because a character can possibly appear again at a later date.

    2) Creating a Death off-pannel tag. It's overly specific. If a character dies in a comic the (Death) tag is sufficient.

    3) Listing a mentioned person as (Deceased) is also unnecessary. The (Deceased) tag is also a redundant tag, stop using it. You should only be using (Death) and only when a character physically dies in a story. And even then, it should only be used in the first instance a character is killed, not in a recap or any other retelling of their deaths.

    5) Lastly, listing the mention of Socrates as a (Topical reference) is incorrect. Socrates is a historical figure. Therefore a reference to him in this story isn't topical since his mention in this story would not date age the characters in the story.

    6) Adding "In main story and ..." to locations and other inanimate objects is excessive. The only time you should be making a distinction between an object or a location is if they ONLY appear in a flashback, or illusion or whatever.

    7) Stop using (Cameo) tags on inanimate objects. That's a tag for characters. If you're going to add it to objects, why not add tags to every table and chair in a comic and add a cameo tag if they're only seen once? (Which please, for the love of god, don't start doing that)

I think maybe you should leave tagging comics page to someone who exhibits some restraint.

    • Hi Nick, I have read your post, I just wanted to tell you that I did those edits a lot of time before you sent me the first warning. As you can see, I haven't done such things since that, but I really need time to revisit everything, and in this period of my life I just don't have enough time to do so. I'm really sorry, I hope you can understand my point.

    • When I asked you to go back and fix your appearance overkill, I didn't mean go to a page that others have already fixed and made more changes. Unless there is a glaring error, please don't do that in order to avoid making more work for others. In the future staying away from the pages that others have already gone in and cleaned up the mess you left behind is probably a good idea.

      Thanks.

PS: Changing {{Dies}} to {{Death}} is not a glaring error as both codes are synonymous. Not only is changing the tag a waste of energy, but it also has no impact on any categorization fields on the Wiki. This constitutes as a useless edit.

  • Been talking to the other admins about this, you're going overkill with appearances, creating a lot of junk information that is irrelevant to this wiki. Some points:

    Invocations:

You keep on using invocations and references are not appropriate for statements that are part of common language. Example, a character saying "Oh my god" is not considered an invocation for our purposes.

Races and Species: Stop adding species of animals that are not unique. IE: Real world animals that are not unique.

Other Characters: Stop creating links to one-panel characters or single named individuals who cannot be differentiated from someone else with the same name.

Also, we're retiring the "Last Appearance" tag because it creates more work to remove old tags should the character appear somewhere again.

To put it plainly, if you can't think of a reason why someone would want a list of these kinds of appearances, or can't go and create a proper and useful page for that individual or thing, then stop linking it. It's about as useful as listing "chair" in the items section and creating a page for chairs on this wiki because a chair appears in a comic. It's pointless and nobody cares.

A perfect example of garbage that doesn't belong was in your edit of The Spectacular Spider-Man #222 which I had the displeasure of cleaning up. Before you go on another editing frenzy creating garbage edits, please go back and fix all the junk you've already put up.

You're making the appearance sections a mess for stuff nobody cares about. There are better things you can be focusing your energy on.

If you can't add things moderately, then you really should just stop.

  • Can you please stop doing the following:

    • Using the (Deceased) tags for anything other than on a character who actually dies in a story,
    • Creating links to one-note characters.
    • Using (Last appearance), (Final appearance), (Final appearance; dies) as we are discontinuing those tags.

Also, I would VERY MUCH appreciate it if you stop going in an adding stuff to the Spider-Man books that I'm working on. You might think you're helping, but you are not. It is actually making my job harder and more time consuming because I have to clean up the edits you make.

You know I'm updating all the Spider-Books, stop piggy-backing off my edits and find something else to work on. Thanks.

    • Hi, Nick

As you said, I've just finished revising my edits (removing the (Last appearance) and (Deceased)); now that I've correctly checked everything, I'll stop editing your Spider-Books, as I respect you and your work.

I just wanted to remind you about Marvel Chronology Project's wrong Scrier chronology: in fact, the MCP doesn't account the difference between the Samuel Fox and Charles Bates Scriers, treating them as the one and the same. I've personally composed a correct chronology for them

      SCRIER (SAMUEL FOX)

      SM:OSBORNJ (8:3 - 11:2)-FB
      SM:OSBORNJ (12:2 - 12:5)-FB-FB
      SM:OSBORNJ (14:1)-FB
      ASM 399
      SM 56
      SSM 222
      SSM 223
      SM:MAXCO

      SCRIER (CHARLES BATES)

      SM:OSBORNJ (18:3 - 19:3)-FB
      SM:OSBORNJ (21:3 - 21:5)-FB
      {ASM 394}
      SSM 217
      ASM 401
      SSM 224
      ASM 402
      SM 59
      SM:MAXCA
      ASM 404
      SM:OSBORNJ (29:1)-FB
      ASM 416
      ASM 417

In a few words, the Scrier who is affiliated directly with Miles Warren is Fox, while the Traveller's Host member is Bates.
I really hope it will be useful for you! :)

  • Can you please stop changing my edits.

The policy is that we put Annuals and Specials in the previous/next issue slots where they fit in the read order of the series.

Second, please stop re-organizing appearance lists. The order is based on "appearance" is not a policy. It is also irrelevant when you consider the fact that appearances are broken up into categories (featured/supporting/antagonists/other etc). The order in which they appear is an irrelevant point and makes the appearance listing look ugly and a disorganized mess.

If anyone really cares to know who appeared at what part of the story they can do so by reading the summary.

So unless you're going to go that extra mile and write issue summaries, please leave my edits alone in the future unless there is some kind of glaring error.

    Thanks

    • Hi Nick, sorry for the late reply; I can assure you that I haven't anything against you or your edits (which are very, very accurate), I just remembered that the order based on appearance was a policy, so I thought I was doing something good "correcting" those small incorrect parts of them.

(I have not modified/removed the Annual as the next/previous issue, I just moved it into the right part of the source code, maybe you haven't seen that.)

I have spent a lot of time editing the whole Spider-Man 2099 series, so I really want these pages to be as "perfect" as possible. I'm sorry if you have misunderstood my edits. :)

    • Oh, and since we're talking about SM2099, I'd like to know your opinion about Aaron Delgato's body appearances while "hosting" Thanatos. Since he died in Spider-Man 2099 #2, Thanatos is actually possessing a corpse, so Delgato's appearances in those issues needs to be converted into Minor Appearances.

What do you think about it?

  • Hi!

I was about to undo your edits on the brotherhood (on the basis that all the material added is here for creating a framework (no pun intended if you watch Agents of SHIELD) for this mess of a story, but rather than create an edit war over nothing, I prefer to proposeyou to join the discussion The S.H.I.E.L.D. in the West, the S.P.E.A.R. in the East that is the continuation of an original thread Nausiated created. This way we'll be able to coordinate the work on the Spear/Shield/Hydra mess.

Also, sorry if I sound unfriendly or aggressive here (It's not my intent but it's already hard to not sound aggressive when writing in my native languages, so in English -without mentioning bugs-...), but please don't ignore/forget your notifications box. I prefer to think it is not voluntary given the fact you answer to many of them, but your wall does not weight in your favor on some occasion, and it can be really bothering. (I would like an answer to my previous post on your wall...)

    Have a good day/night !

    • Hi Undoniel! Really thanks for your invite! If I will find something new about this Hydra/Spear/Thule mess, I'll contribute to the discussion for sure! (However, did you saw my edits on Thule Society's page ? What do you think about them?)

About your previous message (sorry if I have not answered), from my point of view there are no problems! I will give you all the time you need to edit :)

And finally, about the mentions, I removed them accidentally, it was not a voluntary edit.

PS: You are really friendly, don't worry, and keep on this amazing work about Hydra!

  • Hi!

Thanks for correcting after me, there a lot of new policies I haven't yet properly assimilated and I do a awful lot of typing errors while working on such large issues.

    A few things:

    • As I'm working on it currently, it would maybe be more useful to wait some time before editing, in order to prevent any edit conflict in case of simultaneous editing.
    • Why have you removed part of the mentions ? I think only German organizations were removed but I might have missed others.

That's what I brought up on this wall.

    • Ok, thanks, I didn't know about that, sorry :) However, when I was talking about MODOK's look, I was referring to recent MODOK Superior's apparences in Gwenpool, where he appears to be a little different than the original MODOK (who is very similar to the one who appeared in Secret Empire #0)

  • You don't listen very well. Once again, you've merged two realities with absolutely no discussion or evidence provided. You have repeatedly ignored our warnings on this subject, and frankly I've grown tired of it.

For the final time: Provide evidence or sources for your changes, and wait for community input, or DO NOT make them. If you continue to have issues with this concept, you'll be banned from editing here.

    • Sorry for the late reply, sometimes I have some problems seeing the notifications. I really would like to apologize for any problems that I've caused, really. I promise that, from now, I will not change any articles without seeking the community consensus. I really respect you admins and moderators and I obviously like to be a part of this wiki, so I am going to respect all the rules. I hope that you can forgive me and I hope that you can see something good in my contributions to this site.

      Thanks again
