  • Hello. I have been blocked by an Admin for breaking the rules and now been blocked for a week. I am looking for another Admin to unblock me if he or she can. I understand why I have been blocked and have read the rules since. I would truly appreciate being unblocked so I can resume having fun and follow the rules instead of being treated like garbage when this is just a fandom site and people really don't or shouldn't give a $*#%

    • Then what can i do?

        Loading editor
    • You can wait until your block ends on Friday. You had several chances to read up on the rules and follow them like the staff requested in our various warning posts, starting all the way back in 2014 when you first started contributing. If you're truly committed to following our site's naming conventions and reference policies, you can do so when the block expires in 6 days.

  • Why did you merge the former members and former students? Those were kept secret for a reason.

  • You're still changing infoboxes without adding properly cited history text despite dozens of warnings to the contrary. It's as if you think if you ignore the rules long enough they won't apply to you. Please cease this practice, as it violates the Marvel Database:Policies and Guidelines and will result in punitive action. Thanks.

  • Please, remember whenever you add new information to properly reference it every single time.

If your source is a comic, TV episode, movie, etc., you just need to put between {{r| and }} the issue/episode/movie in which the events you just described happened. Like this:

    Tony Stark became Iron Man.{{r|Tales of Suspense Vol 1 39}}

If your source is a web site, refer to this page on how to cite web pages in articles.

Remember that having the information we display referenced is what makes us a reliable source of knowledge, so even though it wasn't always the policy here on the Marvel Database, it's now considered extremely important (see also Citing Sources).

    Thanks!

  • So I noticed that there is a problem with the page about the Marvel Sliding Timescale. Under Example #3, right above the "Contradictions" section. It states that: "When Year 15 rolls over in November 2018...", but this is false as Year 15 begins in November 2017. Is someone able to fix this? Or is it actually correct and I'm reading it wrong?

I am under the impression that once it gets into a new Year of Marvel Time, that everything shifts one year. So now Peter Parker gets bit by the spider in 2003 instead of 2002. Does that mean that Peter will always be Spider-Man for fourteen years or does that shift too?

    • Today is 2018, which is Year 15 of the compression; meanwhile, Amazing Fantasy #15 happened about fifteen years ago since August 10, 1962 was still in Year 1 of the compression.

Thus, per the sliding timescale, Peter "currently" gained his powers around 2003 (2018-15 years), and he was born sometime around 1988 (2003 - 15 years old in Year 1 of the compression), making him "currently" ~30 years old.

    • Got it! It's kinda like if you do the current year in real life minus the Year in Marvel Time. Thanks

  • They aren't members of the Nova Corps anymore; they temporarily joined the Novas to oust the Fraternity of Raptors' spies, which they accomplished to do in Guardians of the Galaxy #150.

    • A lot of those pages are desorganized as well or lacking something (and it isn't because of that that we started desorganizing pages or removing things from them so they can all look the same). The way in which I've been organizing them in many pages (desorganized pages) is chronological, it goes from the very first group they were affiliated with / place they used as base of operations to the most recent ones. It's not confusing.

    • Oh well if your doing that to all the pages on here...or are gonna start doing that- it'll take a really long time. Almost all the pages I've seen- mostly X-Men and Avengers characters, among many others- are in reverse chronological order, which I really like. It's just my opinion of course, but it makes sense. I was hoping it could stay that way, but I guess with you it's not gonna happen. I just don't get why it can't be like I had it.

  • Heya :) We at Wikia are trying to get some opinions about Age of Ultron. Since you're a super fan and one of the Marvel Database's most active recent contributors, we thought you'd be the perfect person to ask!

We'd love to know what you think about the new characters joining the Avengers cast and/or the cool weapons that the Avengers smash around town with. Just give us a line or two about what you'r most looking forward to when it comes to these two topics. You can just reply to this message, and I'll put your thoughts into the hopper at Wikia Central!

    Thanks a lot!

    • Hi. I think the new characters look pretty great! Ultron looks realistic. the Maximoff twins look amazing, even if they changed Scarlet Witches powers and Vision looks like he's going to be a great addition. All the new gear looks great, especially Black Widows and Iron Man's (and Hawkeye's jacket!). This really is going to be a great film!
