• We've actually automated the reprint template such that it automatically generates a reprint category in an issue's "See Also" subsection if the reprint article has been properly generated, thus we're trying to root out and remove notes such as this, not add more that will just need to be removed later. Thanks.

    • Hi again. I should've removed all the edits aforementioned. I left only these three pages alone (1, 2, 3) because the auto-note doesn't show up, despite the category already existing (at the TPB page, I mean).

    • Thanks, I tinkered with the coding and categories of those three and got them working as well.

  • Please, remember whenever you add new information to properly reference it every single time.

If your source is a comic, TV episode, movie, etc., you just need to put between and the issue/episode/movie in which the events you just described happened. Like this:

Tony Stark became Iron Man.Tales of Suspense Vol 1 39

If your source is a web site, refer to this page on how to cite web pages in articles.

Remember that having the information we display referenced is what makes us a reliable source of knowledge, so even though it wasn't always the policy here on the Marvel Database, it's now considered extremely important (see also Citing Sources).

    Thanks!

  • I'd like to give you a big thanks with your recent uploading of variant covers. If you don't mind, I'd also like to give you some advise on some stuff you've been missing:

    1) When adding variants to comic pages, try to list them in alphabetical order

    2) When filling out the image template, please put the issue number in the Source field instead of the Issue field. This auto-generates a month and a year.

    3) Please categorize variants by their specific theme (e.g. Action Figure Variants, Hidden Gem Variants, Villain Variants etc). A full list of variant themes can be found here.

    4) Variants by artists should conform to the following naming conventions:

Comic Title Vol Volume Number Issue Number Artist's Last Name Variant.jpg

An example can be found here.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

    • Shall do from now on! :) I've always seen the "2nd" used and thought it was to keep the name shorter (plus, on the covers, they do write the abbreviation).

Edit: since this is a matter that's currently in my mind as I'm sorting through All-new X-Men vol 1... do you recall if there had been a discussion in the past about how to treat the X-Men from the past, name speaking? There's a bit of confusion about their timeline. At first they in the issue pages (and images) were labeled as "616", then they became "TRN-something", to then back to "616". Just to know if it's worth the time to fix every "616" in both issues and images posts.

    • The X-Men from the past were returned to their time and the ones from the present got all their memories, so they're being merged into Earth-616. I've completed fixing the thousands of comic appearances between them, but there's still about 500 images that will need their subjects' reality designation(s) fixed and some that will need renamed as part of the merge of Earth-TRN240 into Earth-616.

As a side note, no need to add parentheses to the qualifiers of cover images, it saves a bit of time and since there's tens of thousands without them, would be more uniform to leave them off rather than trying to change all the old format if that makes sense?
