  • I saw you reverted that edit, so I checked the history and it made me chuckle. Someone had put its marital status as gay a while back, and instead of just deleting it I added the homosexual category for a Klyntar. Back in the good ol' days of my naivety as a new user, good catch.

  • Hi!

I removed your edits adding relatives to major figures of the Cthulhu Mythos.

Like virtually everything on this wikia, the best course is to stick to what is said in Marvel-published material and not mention out-of-universe material (the links to other relevant wikia and/or to Wikipedia is enough). The source material could be worth mentioning in the case an established Marvel genealogy would differ from it.

    Have a good day!

  • Why'd you remove chunks of the Kree Empire page?

      Loading editor
  • Please, when updating pages, do so in their entirety so that the change that happened to the page's character is properly reflected throughout the article. For instance, if a character dies, do not simply add the character's appearance of death to the infobox in their article; it's mandatory that the addition be supported by properly cited information available in the History section.

    Thank you.

  • Hi.

I've explained it while undoing those kinds of edits before: a "Mutant [species/race]" is a mutant (as a type, a subspecies) into a [species/race], while a "[species/race]/mutant hybrid" is the hybrid between a [species/race] and of a mutant (Homo superior). Like it is written on the category.

    So:

    • Don't add categories to pages and other categories when it doesn't fit the category. You can know of it by reading the text at the top of the category.
    • Next time you see that an edit you've already done has been reversed, please check the history log, and don't do it back.

    Thanks in advance.

    • Actually, I had forgotten that I edited that category before, that's why I didn't bother to look at the revision history. While I thought that my edits made sense, I will not re-add them, as per your reasoning. Anyway, have a great time.

  • Please, whenever you upload a new image, be sure to follow these three simple steps:

    1) Be sure the image name acts in accordance with our site's Naming Conventions.

    2) Once the image is uploaded, please don't forget licensing.

    • If you uploaded it through the Special:Upload function, make use of the "Licensing (Required)" dropdown feature before clicking "Upload File," and choose the apropriate type of licensing. "A single panel of a character," "A regular comic book cover" and "Movie screenshot" are some of the most common options.
    • If you uploaded it through the "Add a photo to this gallery" function on the bottom of galleries, or you didn't select any licensing option in the dropdown feature of Special:Upload, you'll have to add the licensing manually. Go to the uploaded image and click "Edit," you'll see two rows of buttons to insert templates or format functions. Click on the button that has a single polaroid photograph on it (found in the bottom row), and the template will be added. Be sure to fill in the "License" field with the respective license. Most common licenses are "Comic Single Panel," "Comic Cover," "TV Screenshot" and "Movie Screenshot." If the licensing you added is not valid, the image will still appear as unlicensed.

    3) Whether the image template with licensing has been added automatically or has been inserted manually on the image, please be sure to fill in the respective fields there are, including "Source," "Universe," "Subject#," etc. to help sort it out.

    Thanks!

    • It was just a tip to take into consideration. The important part of the message was the omission of the inker and colorist fields.

    • OK, thanks for the tip, I will keep that in mind onwards.

  • Please, remember whenever you add new information to properly reference it every single time.

If your source is a comic, TV episode, movie, etc., you just need to put between {{r| and }} the issue/episode/movie in which the events you just described happened. Like this:

    Tony Stark became Iron Man.{{r|Tales of Suspense Vol 1 39}}

If your source is a web site, refer to this page on how to cite web pages in articles.

Remember that having the information we display referenced is what makes us a reliable source of knowledge, so even though it wasn't always the policy here on the Marvel Database, it's now considered extremely important (see also Citing Sources).

    Thanks!

  • Please, stop re-adding the Unknown Origin category to the Venom Symbiote page whenever it's removed; that category is reserved for characters whose powers came from an unknown source or whose race/species is unknown, and the Venom Symbiote is neither of those. Thanks!

  • How is the Vietnam War non-canon? Characters' participation in it - like Flash Thompson - may no longer be canon due to the sliding timeline, but the war itself still happened.
