You've previously been blocked for plagiarism, yet the Notes added to the Watergate scandal article today were clearly plagiarized from other editors' work. If you're caught plagiarizing others again, the block will be permanent.
Wow I'm sorry, I did not know I was doing anything wrong I was only trying to consolidate all the information already available on Marvel.wikia into one easily readable page. I thought bringing together all available information on the Watergate Scandal would be a fun read. My apologise I'm only here to help expand a grow the wiki. I
I will leave it up to you to decide, but a month ban because I did something 2 years ago it a very harsh punishment for someone with good intentions.
It's been brought to our attention by an administrator of the site that you've been copying information from the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki and pasting it into our articles, including but not limited to the pages on Project T.A.H.I.T.I., Cordco, and Stark Fujikawa.
As such, I'm forgoing the usual warning message; you've been blocked from the site for a 2 week period. You've been around long enough that you are well aware of our site policies, especially those concerning plagiarism, and have absolutely no excuse for lifting entire articles from other sites.
If you decide to return to editing after your block expires, you're edits will be checked for repeat instances of plagiarism, and any further instances will result in an extended block from the site. In the meantime, we'll also be reviewing the rest of your edits to see if any other material has been copied.
When you upload files and pics, please license them:
You can add a license template before the upload by selecting an option.
If you don't, you can simply go on edit of the file page, and add the template: You have to search in the little icons and clic on the one with a little pic of a photo, named "insert image template"
Once you have made one of those two options, you have to insert:
The type of license: If this is a comic (a panel or less), you can add "CSP" (Character Simple Panel or something like that)
The imagetype: Item, Character, Location, Team, Vehicle (don't know if there is more of them
Description, if you feel there is a need to describe something. (I use it really occasionally)
the Issue where the pics comes from
The universe where the "pic was taken"
The subject(s): everything appearing in a valuable way on the pic (with the reality designation for characters, and also for the other if they do have one: In general, the correct name of )
The authors (CoverArtist, Penciler, Inker, Colourist, Letterer): Only those who indeed have a role in the pic: No need for cover artist or letterer for a pic from inside the comic and with no dialogue appearing on it.
It would be nice if you could also license the pics you've already uploaded. The list of your edits and upload are present in contribution, in the bar where you also found your profile, blog and message wall.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Sorry if my message was too long, but that licensing thing is truly for both editors and visitors, as the licensing allow the pic to be linked to the image category of the character page.
Thanks (it's specially for the 0-8-4 category but it is important for anything). If you have followed Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., you might know about some of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents Clearance Levels ? (I've started but there is some level who might haven't been stated clearly..)
Last year, you added a quote on Sunpyre page (here) about Magneto's Omega mutation. (well, I did the linking to Magneto's.
But I checked the reference you added (who wasn't in the Eve of Destruction arc) without finding it. Then I looked for it the Eve of Destruction without results. And I found, by looking in the talk it was pointing to Sunspot. And found the exact sentence by Sunspot in New Mutants Vol 3 #5.
I remove the quote from Sunpyre's page. Please confirm it was a mistake, and if it wans't, please indicates me the exact issue and situation for me to find it (an Omega-ref for Magneto could be useful).
I see you do quite a bit of work here and a lot of it is great. I did however notice you posted a video for the new RoboCop movie that just recently came out this year. Just wanted to give you the heads up that, although Marvel has published RoboCop comics in the past, it is a commercially licensed character owned by someone else (in this case MGM Studios if I'm not mistaken). Our official policy on licensed characters is that we don't typically cover that material on the wiki because they are not owned by Marvel and (usually) there are specific Wikis devoted to that particular subject.
Of course there are exceptions, the primary two being if (a) the commercially licensed character is part of the Earth-616 universe (such as ROM, Conan, Fu Man Chu, the Micronauts etc) and we also do the issue summaries for commercially licensed characters that had comic books published by Marvel.
That said, I hate to nitpick, but the RoboCop trailer does not really have a place on the Marvel Wiki since Marvel didn't have anything to do with it. If you could kindly remove it that would be great.
Otherwise, great contributions on the site, keep up the good work!
I saw you made recently edits on the X2: Wolverine's Revenge game page, and I had a question for you:
I recently read somewhere that Sabretooth was at some point stated to be an Alpha Class mutant. As I'm going to ask you to replay the whole game just to find (or not, my sources are full of crap) a little reference, I was wondering if you had any memory of such classification (or close to it, as even when the sources are accurate on the ref, they aren't on the exact term).
Oops, forgot again a word: "As I'm not going to ask you to replay the whole game just to find". Seems more right. Okay.
Well, it's just that some of the adds (maybe not all yours, haven't checked but we were both adding stuff to those categories a few month back) are (or seems to be) animal-like mutates, and not animal-hybrids mutates. But I'm not sure myself, as I haven't issues or entries on all of them, and even then, it is not always in those I have.
