Read through all the messages I've left on your message wall. I have tried to explain how apn is used and apparently you either are incapable of comprehending or what is more likely you have just decided to blow off what I say and use it how you see fit. I am tired of rolling back most of your edits.
If a character's previous and next appearance are the previous and next issues, there's no point in using apn. If you look at the supporting characters for that issue, you can get an idea of how apn should be used.
That isn't how it works. Just say for example that the Hulk appeared in another comic that month like Marvel Team-Up. In that case, your use of apn could be incorrect as the Hulk may have appeared in that comic before the previous issue of Incredible Hulk. In other words, whenever you use 'apn' instead 'a' for appearances you MUST be working off of a chronological source such as the Marvel Indexes or Marvel Chronology Project.
Hi. I'm not trying to beat you up over this issue, but I thought maybe you understood what you were doing and just misapplying it to reprints. Judging by your edit on Marvel Two-In-One though, it looks like you don't understand APN usage so I thought a few words of explanation are in order. I asked site bcrat Nathan to implement APN so it would be possible to set up chronological linkage for characters in an easy way without having to add notes at the bottom of an issue page. APN stands for "Appearance Previous Next". To implement this, you need to be working off a chronology source. I've been using the Marvel Indexes, but there are internet resources such as the Marvel Chronology Project as well. The redirects for APN go to where the character previously appeared in his/her chronology and where they next appear in his/her chronology. If you are unconcerned with building a chronological chain, such as reprint titles, then the regular 'a' for appearances works just fine. Feel free to leave me a message on my wall should you have any site policy questions and...welcome to the wiki! :)
Hello. Using apn on character appearances in reprints will mess up the chronology chain. The whole point of introducing apn was to set up an unbroken chain from Amazing Fantasy #15 (in Peter Parker (Earth-616)'s case) up to the present day. Please leave character appearances in reprints as regular appearance listings.
