hey there, I did remove the hyperlinks for a reason: These are not the New Earth characters appearing in the story, but their Earth-7642 counterparts, so hyperlinking them is factually wrong. I realize that none of the DC characters appearing have their own pages, which is a pity, but the problem cannot be solved by just pretending that this is the regular DC characters. This would make the events mainstream canon, which they're very obviously not.
I'm aware that the characters of a Marvel universe participate in this... to date, DC hasn't been as generous with information like that. Can we leave it as Earth-One but add a note saying that there's no info on what Earth the DC counterparts come from?
not really, no. The information about which universe they came from comes from a canon marvel source - the official handbooks. The earth designation is correct as it is now - for characters from both side. this is not an amalgam sort of thing, this is a common universe for both. If people over at DC see that differently, we can add that as a note, but it doesn't make it correct inside the marvel canon. maybe what we should do is create character pages for them where we can link to the most likely counterparts.
very much so. But there doesn't necessarily need to be one definite answer to this - on the marvel side, it has been specified for all the characters. on the DC side, it hasn't been specified, because the whole multiversal reboot thing is a little more difficult. So there's two perspectives, both of which are "true" in the real world, but in-universe, we have ro stick to the marvel answer. headache. I hate multiple universes. ;)
