  • Thanks for completely undoing my edit by deeming your version as the "far superior version". My favorite part is definitely where the Yondu article doesn't make any mention of his interactions with Stakar Ogord, or even mentions he used to be part of an elite Ravagers team. I also like how it barely gives information on how his deal with Ego came about and how it ended.

I once asked an admin whether putting too much details is bad, and they said there's no such thing as too much information.

    • Other admins here have also mentioned the KISS principle (keep it short and simple)

Your new version was littered with problems. The first paragraph was mostly extraneous data listing anyone that had presumably been in contact contact with Yondu. The second paragraph was littered with so many grammar problems I would not have allowed it on any of the wikis I administrate on. The third paragraph delves into unnecessary fiddly details that are just exposition in the movies.

      And so on.

Verbosity is never the solution to make a great piece of reading. Articles covering fictional character histories tend to be far more engaging and legible by not delving into inconsequential details.

  • Please see all other student categories http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Students

They are all marked student! not students. If they are incorrect all of them will need moving.

    • Some of those are presented in singular form, others plural. Note also that the parent category is "Students," and plural form is the prevailing standard for categories on the Marvel Database, and the rule on most other wikis.

  • The red carpet premiere of Captain America: Civil War is over, and I was wondering if I could have permission to edit one spoiler on the page

    • This wiki doesn't play host to information from advance preview screenings, or from premieres. The articles will become fair game once the first country to screen on release day starts public screenings.

  • Sorry about Ant Man but Earth is not a universe.

  • One of them has a two scene appearance, fine keep him in supporting, but what about Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Vision? Theyre featured on the poster, as the "main cast" in the credits and at Comic Con. Theyre also all Avengers. Why'd you have to undo my whole edit. I fixed up a bunch of other non-related stuff, and gah now I have to do it all over again.

    • Whether Hawkeye personally considers Pietro to be eligible for membership, or not, is entirely irrelevant.

Pietro did not join the team.

        Loading editor
    • Okay, I get it. Pietro isn't an official member, just more like an honorary one or whatever. I'll still advocate for Wanda and Vision to be under Avengers and under Featured Characters when other users debate this. I'll move Pietro back to Supporting.

    • As far as I'm aware there are no articles on this wiki designed to document trailer content. There are however articles covering movie content, and if something is noted in the trailer, but not present in the movie, then it doesn't belong in the movie article.

  • Excuse me. What are the deleted scenes you referred when you edited the Bruce Banner (Earth-199999) page?

      Loading editor
  • Hi! I was trying to correct the citizenship template by starting with a simple species (the Rock Trolls who have only a few individuals and only two way to describe them: "Rock Troll" and "Rock Trolls".

But I failed to do what I want to do (and will be necessary for the Race/species field later): I wanted to do as it was before:

    • You add "Asgard", "Asgardian" or "Asgardians"
    • The field appears as "Asgardian"
    • The page is categorized in the page category "Asgardians" (the plural form was I seem to recall the convention).

Do you know how to add it ? I only used one page, the Module:CharacterInfoboxCitizenship. Maybe the reconstruction of a model similar to those (Template:Nationality Category, Template:Ctzen, Template:CtzenCat, Template:Race Category) old template (used before Lua) could help ?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Sorry, no. I haven't really looked at it at all since that initial spurt of activity with Lua on the the character template.

    • It has been solved, it was, as I thought, a complete minor error from myself .

  • You once fixed up my edit of the History section of Earth-199999. Would you mind taking a look at my latest edit of the page? Thanks.

    • There was a little bit of discussion about this on the talk page a while back, where I almost made a rough outline, or design brief, for the way I structured it when I put together the start of the history text in its current form.

Just to quote myself, a couple of points I made back then:

      • "The more I think about it, the more I feel that the solution is to simply 'zoom out'. The article needs to de-focus from the fiddly details of each movie and just summarise each one in one or two paragraphs."
      • "I was loosely aiming for one paragraph per movie, although the S.H.I.E.L.D subplot needed to carve out a bit of its own, as did the early years."

I'll say this of your edit: I like it more than those of the previous contributor. Good call on scrapping the Peter Quill bit, dunno about Killian - that was the start point of something significant, but the paragraph was too bloated too, so it needed a fix anyway.

I don't like the mash-up of Extremis and Coulson's team. Those should be separate I think, and Coulson's story had more to do with Fury's suspicions about SHIELD than the revival of Extremis with Centipede. Where I think that paragraph really fails though is the previous contributor named the agents of Coulson's team, and I think this zooms in (if you'll excuse my earlier analogy) a little too far. The style of the article has been to cover significant people sparingly from a world stage perspective. This world knows who Stark is, and Erskine has gone down in history, but Fitz and Simmons?

Is that what you were after? :D

    • Yes! Thank you! I'm having trouble with the "zooming out" thing, because I don't know how to properly explain it without giving a few details.

The Killian thing, I don't think we needed that, but I do think we at least need to mention him or Extremis, I mean, it's made quite an impact on the MCU, but whatever you decide would probably be good. :)
