History
The Metropolitan Police Service is a police division with jurisdiction over the the area of Greater London. After fielding a missing persons call for the American scientist Dr. Jane Foster, and reports of anomalous gravitational events in Greenwich Village, the Metropolitan Police Service responded with a contingent of police officers in several panda cars and a response vehicle. One policeman made the mistake of trying to arrest Foster shortly after her surprise reappearance, and was obliterated in the attempt by the Aether, a parasitic force that had claimed the scientist as its host. Another officer called for armed support, but before they could do any more Foster was whisked away from the scene in a column of light in the arms of Thor.[1]

This Police Service is referred as Scotland Yard, designating their headquarters.
