Morbius' blood contained the only known enzyme on the planet that would reverse Peter Parker's extra arm disfigurement. Morbius attacked people on the ship he was stowed away on, and dove into the water to escape their wrath. In the ocean, he was eaten by sharks, so Spider-Man became permanently six-armed.[citation needed]
