History

Michael Rogers was the son of diplomat Walter Rogers. He enlisted in the army in the early 1940s, and was one of the victims of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Several years after his death, his family's history was used as the basis for false memories that were implanted Captain America's mind to protect his identity in the event of his capture by enemy forces. In these false memories, he was the older brother of Steven Rogers, and his death encouraged Steven to enlist.
