Synopsis for "Death, Sleep and the Traveler!"

The Micronauts have been rescued from the perils of the laser planet but now look over the wreckage of the HMS Endeavor due to the mistakes made by Biotron II and Microtron II in landing in front of the Beacon Range. They recover the unfortunate roboids and despite significant damage, Huntarr ensures Commander Rann that they are still functional. Rann is forced to intervene when Biotron II inexplicably attacks Mari as he speaks a broken warning about something.

As Bug recovers medical equipment from the ship to treat her, he begins eating a candy bar with a wrapper with a drawing of Homeworld, which the pink alien rescuers marvel at as its meaning is explained to them. They then invite the Micronauts to their home world's capital city.

In the alien space freighter, Rann decides to make the journey in the command chair of the recovered Endeavor and soon falls asleep, dreaming about a young Mari as a child on Homeworld being interviewed about historical figures. She says that her favorite is Arcturus Rann and that she wants to marry someone like him when she grows up. He is then greeted by images of his parents telling him to join them in the status as a legend of the home world. He is awakened by Acroyear disturbed by the dream. Acroyear relays words of encouraging wisdom and then shows him the view of Central City, the capital of the alien planet.

They enjoy some rest and relaxation on the planet as they deal with numerous instances of the admiring alien inhabitants shapeshifting to resemble the Micronauts as a kind of mimicry. Their leader then shows them a view of the Spiral Path, the Micronauts' home galaxy, which can be viewed from the alien planet in its entirety as they speak of godlike beings called the Makers. They tell of a recurring myth that tells of an egg falling on various planets from the cosmos and hatching a primordial being that created their alien race.

Bug is meanwhile pondering the relationship enjoyed by Mari and Arcturus, longing for similar companionship when a shapeshifting alien appears to him in the form of Mari but with the distinctive appearance of a fellow insectovorid. They chat and she convinces him to take her with him on their journeys and he suggests that he will bring her to his home planet of Kaliklak.
