Miek was a Gladiator on Sakaar.
Miek was a member of the Warbound a group of gladiators that revolved against the Red King's.
He would later also be forced to fight for the Grandmaster until one day Hela took over the Grandmaster's operation, and once again forced the gladiators to fight for her, in Miek's case she told him his family would be killed if he didn't obey her.
Miek came to the Avengers Academy with Hela when she decided to turn Earth into Hel. Odin was able to convince Miek to leave Hela's side when he told him he had sent the Guardians of the Galaxy to Sakaar to make sure his family was fine. [1]
