Miek was a gladiator in the Maestro-ruled Sakaar. Along with his fellow gladiator Korg he was part of Steve Rogers' secret resistance against Maestro's rule. When Valkyrie inspired the Captain to move into the open revolt, Korg and Miek joined his Warbound and led the other gladiators against their slave masters. They were initially successful, until Ares confronted them and killing the Captain, forcing the rest to flee and regroup.[1]
The scattered Warbound escaped into the Gamma Desert, where Valkyrie secured the assistance of Jim Rhodes and Bruce Banner. When they were prepared, the rebels began infiltrating the Crown City, Korg and Miek among them. The rebels were eventually victorious, and Valkyrie was able to kill Maestro and end his rule.[1]
