Incredible Hulk #136

Having revived from his adventure through time somewhere in modern day Europe, Bruce Banner hitches a ride to a NATO unit and is personally escorted back to the United States under the supervision of General Ross and Glenn Talbot, on a steady dose of tranquilizers to keep him from transforming into the Hulk. Along the way, Ross tells Bruce that both Betty (who suffered a nervous breakdown) and Jim (who was injured by Hydra) are recovering well together.

As they fly into New York and pass the Empire State Building, some invisible force near it causes Bruce to suddenly transform into the Hulk, smash out of the plane, and climb up the building. As this is happening the same force appears to be draining all the electricity out of the city. Suddenly in space, a giant space vessel appears and Xeron the Star-Slayer is dispatched to Earth. This alien being has been dispatched by his masters to destroy a creature known as Klaatu, an energy creature that is "from beyond space."

When the Hulk reaches the top of the ESB, he is shocked by the arrival of Xeron and the sudden appearance of the gigantic Klaatu. Confused by the whole tableau unfolding the Hulk decides to attack Klaatu. However, he's beneath the creature's notice and it simply swats him out of the way before disappearing again.

Furious over the Hulk's involvement, Xeron has his slaves "row" his hunting ship toward the Hulk so that they may capture them. The Hulk has revived and tries to fight off Xeron and his men. Xeron, however, uses his energy harpoon to incapacitate the Hulk, draining him of enough energy to knock the green giant out and make him easy for capture. Taken aboard the ship, the Hulk revives and learns that his old foe the Abomination has a high ranking position aboard the ship.

Daredevil #19

After saving a window washer from a fatal fall, Daredevil pops in on Foggy Nelson and shows him that the Daily Bugle is featuring a cover story about the Gladiator revealing Daredevil's identity to be that of Foggy Nelson. Realizing his lie has gotten him locked in the sights of Daredevil's enemies.

Meanwhile, the Gladiator's court case is interrupted by an attack by a group of gangsters who free him and bring him back to their master: The Masked Marauder. As the two criminals come to blows, Daredevil searches the Gladiator's costume shop for clues to his location but comes up with nothing.

As Gladiator and Marauder continue to fight, the Marauder's thugs have come to the Nelson and Murdock law office to kill Foggy, but they are single-handedly defeated by Daredevil. After the battle, one of the crooks makes it back to the Marauder's base to tell them that Daredevil isn't Foggy Nelson. The two criminals then decide to put aside their grievances and work together to stop Daredevil.

Back at the Nelson and Murdock law office, Matt finds that Foggy and Karen are still together, even though Karen now knows that Foggy isn't Daredevil.

Synopsis for ""Beware the Hidden Land!""

Reprint of the 1st story from
Fantastic Four #47

The Human Torch and the Thing fly off to confront the Dragon Man, leaving Reed and Sue in the Seeker's Fortress to look after Triton. Without water to revitalize him, Triton is quickly suffocating. Sue erects a force field around his body to keep him steady, while Reed pumps water from a fire hose into the bubble to replenish him.

Outside, the Thing and the Torch tangle with the Dragon Man. The Dragon Man slaps the Thing with his tail, sending him crashing through the window of Alicia Masters' studio apartment. Johnny continues the fight and changes his heat blasts to ultra violet radiation. Intensifying the heat, he weakens the Dragon Man and the creature eventually falls down unconscious.

Back at the Fortress, the Seeker arranges to collect Triton. Reed has succeeded in saving Triton's life, but he is reluctant to interfere with Inhuman law. Sue pressures him to do something, but Reed snaps at her. Before the Seeker takes Triton away, Reed secretly plants a homing device on the Inhuman.

Meanwhile, the Royal Family of the Inhumans returns to their home land, the Great Refuge. The reigning king, Maximus, learns of their arrival and unleashes the Alpha Primitives to combat them. Maximus is the brother of Black Bolt. Black Bolt flies directly into the Primitives sending them scattering. After a brief battle, Maximus enters the chamber and apologizes for the effrontery. He claims that the Alpha Primitives had escaped on their own. Realizing that he cannot hope to win out over Black Bolt's courageousness, Maximus hands the crown of leadership over to his brother.

The Fantastic Four take a private jet to the Andes Mountains and locate the Great Refuge. They set down and Reed and Sue bicker some more. Sue decides to change her hairstyle to get Reed to notice her more.

They eventually come upon the Royal Family. Crystal and Johnny are reunited, but Black Bolt stands ready for battle. Speaking for her liege, Medusa declares that non-Inhumans are not welcome in the Great Refuge. Reed says that the Inhumans should not have to live in seclusion, and should live alongside the rest of humanity.

Meanwhile, Maximus retires to his laboratory. He preps his Atmo-Gun and declares that he will use it to destroy all of humanity.
