Cloak & Dagger then retreat to local church where a wake is going on for a lady who died after taking a Tylenol tablet that was filled with cyanide. They overhear a conversation between the priest and a detective named Brigid O'Reilly. Dagger test out her power and attempts to revive the lady but to no avail she is too far gone.
Cloak & Dagger then visit the detective to offer their assistance in finding this mad man and she agrees. They discuss where and who it might be, she tells them his name is Duane Hellman and he been fired from three neighborhood drugstores and his next strike might be at Ray's Pharmacy. Cloak & Dagger find him there tampering with the children's aspirin which upsets both of them.
Dagger hits him hard with her light knives, Hellman gets back up and starts to fire his shotgun at Cloak, but the bullets are merely eaten up by the darkness. Cloak then engulfs Hellman in the darkness. Detective Brigid O'Reilly tries to reach out and pull Hellman back, but the cold is just too much and Cloak devours him in the darkness. Synopsis for "Anarchy in the UK"
As Saturnyne argues with a reluctant Captain UK about getting into proper attire, Captain Britain finds himself clutched between the fingers of a massive Mad Jim Jaspers in the center of Trafalgar Square. He pleads with the crazy giant, but when asked if he's even remotely sane, Jaspers replies that he isn't. Brian then vows to fight for his country with every breathe in his body.
Suddenly, as reality shifts around him, Brian awakes to find Saturnyne and Jackdaw shaking him to consciousness. He touches the previously deceased elf in disbelief, but Jackdaw responds to his amazement with an acknowledgement of Saturnyne's warning; he already knows that Brian will try to talk nonsense about names like "Betsy", "Wardog" and even his parents. Jackdaw, however, knows that they're dead.
At his elvish companion's behest, Brian tries to assimilate to the situation at hand: he must fight the Crazy Gang and the Junkheap alongside Saturnyne's Avant Guard here on Earth-238. As the battle begins, Brian hesitates before a thought enters his mind. When did I tell Jackdraw about my parents? Captain Britain rips through the figment that is Jackdaw, and reality around him shifts once more.
Brian Braddock, now much skinnier, awakes in his hospital bed. The woman next to him cries out in surprise before shouting for a nurse. One quickly arrives, calling the woman "Mrs. Braddock". As Brian he turns, he sees the face of Courtney beside him, asking if he "remembers his wife"?
The stunned Brian begins repeating words back to her, while his wife asks him if he remembers the accident at Darkmoor. Having darted from the room moments before, the nurse returns with a doctor, who decides to administer a sedative to the obviously confused patient. As Brian tries to work things out, reality fades to black...
Captain Britain finds himself back in the palm of the massive Mad Jim, while the titan himself asks the captain to go on with his sentiment. Brian jumps from the large hand and meets the reality-warping mutant, now shrinking to his standard size, face to face. After a argument about whether or not the new version of the world is indeed more interesting, the captain attempts to spar with Jaspers. This, however, leads to Jaspers warping the pair through a series of rapid-fire reality warps to fit his various metaphors.
Having gone through multiple transformations back to back, Mad Jim drops the pair back in the main square and pours himself a cup of tea. Brian revives himself and prepares for the next phase of this grueling battle, unaware that the Fury waits in the shadow having just discovered its quarry...
