Brief Summary

Gamora reads Loki's mind and learns of his visit to the God Quarry sets out to investigate the boundary at the Quarry of Creation since she can't see beyond that place. As a means to neutralize any possible opposition and to feed Devondra, the creature at the heart of the Soul Gem, Gamora uses the Infinity Stones to trap all the inhabitants of the universe in a pocket universe called Warp World located inside Soul Gem, additionally merging every person with another, effectively cutting down the number of souls in the universe by half. Gamora's actions unwittingly result in the creation of many particular inhabitants inside Warp World, including Iron Hammer, the combination of Iron Man and Thor; Soldier Supreme, the combination of Doctor Strange and Captain America; Weapon Hex, the combination of the Scarlet Witch and X-23; Arachknight, the combination of Spider-Man and Moon Knight; and Ghost Panther, the combination of Black Panther and Ghost Rider.

Gamora subsequently travels with Flowa to the God Quarry and begins to dig into the Quarry of Creation. She has left Loki trapped inside Warp World, so he tries to enlist the help of Diamond Patch, the amalgam of Wolverine and Emma Frost, to find Adam Warlock to prevent the doom of both Warp World and the real world.

Detailed Summary

Held at the point of Gamora's sword, Loki attempts to appease her while Flowa observes in delight. Loki informs Gamora that a similar scenario to her obtaining of the Infinity Stones is occurring in other realities as well, and he warns her that the heroes eventually get the Stones back. Using the Stones, Gamora learns of Loki's visit to the God Quarry. She opens a portal into an adjacent universe, and observes with Loki and Flowa how in this reality, Gamora and Requiem, who aren't even the same person, are fighting Moondragon and Captain Marvel. Unconcerned with the events of this reality, Gamora sets out to investigate the boundary at the Quarry of Creation since she can't see beyond that place. Loki offers to take her there, but she refuses. Before leaving, Gamora unfreezes time, releasing all the heroes that were trying to take her down from the grasp of the Time Stone. In order to prevent their intervention, Gamora uses the Infinity Stones to merge the heroes with each other. The hallucination of Thanos commends her exploit, but she snaps her fingers and makes it disappear. Observing reality from outside the Earth with Loki and Flowa by her side, Gamora proclaims that she will fold the universe in half.

In a flashback years into the past of the newly created Warp World inside the Soul Gem, two military officers approach a facility recounting an incident involving Dr. Erskine, a professor who had supposedly created a Super-Soldier Serum but it was discovered after her death at the hands of a spy that she wasn't a person of science like she claimed. One of the officers takes the other to Erskine's private lab, which is furnished with arcane elements. They then meet Dr. Erskine's test subject, a soldier she promised could end the war. An arcane version of Captain America, Private Stephen Rogers the Soldier Supreme, presents himself to his superior.

Gamora observes this scene from the present, intrigued by this development she did not intend. The hallucination of Thanos appears again and tries to give Gamora advice, but she brushes him off. Loki addresses Gamora, applauding her achievement and the fact that her enemies will have great difficulty pulling themselves apart. He asks Gamora to accompany her into the Quarry of Creation, but she tells him he cannot stay. Loki begs her not to drop him into Warp World, recounting the new beings that have emerged from the merging of different heroes: Iron Hammer, the combination of Iron Man and Thor; Soldier Supreme, the combination of Doctor Strange and Captain America; Weapon Hex, the combination of the Scarlet Witch and X-23; Arachknight, the combination of Spider-Man and Moon Knight; and finally Ghost Panther, the combination of Black Panther and Ghost Rider.

Loki takes his attention away from these warped heroes back to Gamora, pointing out that she has just accomplished the same feat Thanos once achieved, cutting the number of souls in the universe by half, but more creatively. He wonders if Gamora has considered this course of action already. She stands in silence, and the apparition of Thanos asks if they in fact did. Loki explains that Gamora has an advantage over her father, with Loki's aid, and without Mephisto's presence to throw her off-balance. Gamora pushes him aside, claiming that she will not make Thanos' mistakes and that things are different now. Loki doubles down on Gamora's assertion, pondering about the mysteries surrounding the returned Infinity Stones: the fact that they now form a circuit and the places in which they were found when they re-emerged. He recalls that he encountered a version of himself from another reality who was heroic, and offers Gamora to work together on solving the mystery of his own misery, but she refuses. Gamora notices Flowa chronicling events and commands her to accompany her. She subsequently opens a portal into Warp World, and throws Loki into this reality's version of Manhattan. Loki laughs with glee, claiming to know exactly where to begin, and asks a bystander where can he find the X-Brotherhood. Meanwhile, a man approaches a newspaper dispenser where some kind of spider has woven a web. His hand is stuck in the spider's web and as he tries to pull out, he's absorbed into a glow of energy. The pedestrians surrounding him keep walking, completely unfazed.

As they arrive at the God Quarry, Flowa asks Gamora what will happen to everyone trapped in Soul World. Gamora tells Flowa about the creature named Devondra that lives at the heart of Soul World, which is the reason why the Soul Gem itself hungers. She explains that after Devondra is fed, she will create a new branch of reality. In the meantime, she will investigate the secrets of the God Quarry. Gamora starts digging into the quarry, unearthing the remains of a million millennia worth of dead gods.

Meanwhile in Warp World, Loki enters the gates of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. He's harassed by a combination of Deadpool and Doop called Doopool until he's approached by the amalgam of Wolverine and Emma Frost: Diamond Patch. Loki takes a jab at him, mockingly trying to deduce his name. Diamond Patch responds unsheathing one of his claws, and Loki backtracks, telling him that he's visiting for help. Diamond Patch stabs him in the shoulder, seemingly using his claw as a conductor to read into his mind. He corroborates Loki's story, but closes the door on him, leaving the God of Lies shouting at the door warning him that they need to find Adam Warlock to prevent their collective doom.

Brief Summary

Having deduced that Gamora has copied the entire universe and installed it into the Soul Gem, Diamond Patch theorizes a set of Infinity Stones must also exist in Soul World. Since he has the knowledge he will one day wield the Phoenix Force, Diamond Patch sends his future self a telepathic message in a bottle, resulting in the Phoenix-empowered Wolverine from The End of Time arriving to help Loki and Diamond Patch. He hands them over the Power Stone, and splits Diamond Patch back into Logan and Emma Frost before leaving. Meanwhile in the adjacent reality, this universe's Phyla-Vell and Moondragon confront Requiem and escape to the Prime Marvel Universe after failing to take her down.

Leaving Logan behind, Emma helps Loki recruit other individuals he had deemed uniquely suited to wield an Infinity Stone. When Gamora read Loki's mind before creating Warp World, Loki specifically imagined the people he needed in his journey mashed together so that she would subconsciously create them and unwittingly facilitate their location. These people are Kang and Ms. Marvel, merged into Ms. Kang, and Ant-Man and the Hulk, merged into Little Monster. Using their combined powers, Emma and Loki split them. After assembling the team, Loki finds Adam Warlock and attempts to get his help to escape Soul World, but he insists they need to fight Davondra. Emma rallies numerous merged heroes to help Warlock as the entirety of Warp World becomes infested by manifestations of the creature. One of the heroes that answers Emma's call is a seemingly normal saxophone player who is actually Drax the Destroyer.

In the real world, Gamora finds an impenetrable barrier bellow the Quarry of Creation. She tries to breach out of the universe but she can't, and is soon confronted by the Council of Watchers.

Detailed Summary

Having actually taken Loki into the X-Mansion after getting a drink, Diamond Patch recaps what he has learned of Gamora, that she has grafted every soul in one half of the universe with another from the other half and trapped them in Soul World to be devoured by Devondra. Loki explains this situation is why he sought a telepath's help, to help sort everything fast. Diamond Patch theorizes that if Gamora has copied the entire universe and installed it into the Soul Gem, then the Infinity Stones must also exist inside Warp World.

Before they can continue, Loki notices a spider dangling behind Diamond Patch's head. The spider suddenly turns into a monster and attacks them both. Diamond Patch stabs it and learns that it's a manifestation of Davondra. While defeating Davondra, Loki recalls that he found an old book on creation in the library of Omnipotence City and when he arrived at a tale of a spider that creates universe from her silk, the pages were torn out, deducing that it wasn't a coincidence and that somebody must have carefully manipulated the current crisis. Diamond Patch explains that he once learned from stabbing a Watcher that one day in the far future he merges with the Phoenix Force. He theorizes that he could send his future self a telepathic message in a bottle the next time he has an opportunity to stab someone possessing the Phoenix Force. When wondering when could that happen, Loki is surprised by the appearance of Logan's future self from The End of Time. The Phoenix Wolverine admits that he tried not to interfere, but it ended up causing more trouble, so he has decided to travel back in time using the Time Bat. He warns that he can't stay not to risk Requiem discovering his presence in the present, but he chucks the Power Stone at Loki. Before leaving and at Loki's request, Phoenix Logan splits Diamond Patch back into Wolverine and Emma Frost. Loki notices his brother Thor's future self concealed by the Phoenix's fire wings, and they exchange words. As he leaves with Thor, Phoenix Wolverine tells Loki, Emma and his younger self to gather the Infinity Stones and get them to Adam Warlock. Emma gets the Power Stone away from Loki due to mistrust and reads his mind to learn that he plans on recruiting Kang next. While Logan is looking for beer at the fridge, a manifestation of Davondra appears from inside it. Loki and Emma leave Logan behind while he fights Davondra. Outside the X-Mansion, Emma localizes Kang, but Loki can't teleport there since his powers are diminished while inside the Soul Gem. Since he's not far away, Emma mentally-controls a biker into handing them over his bike, and they leave. Emma asks Loki if they can count on his counterpart from the neighboring reality, but Loki doubts his counterparts are faring well.

Meanwhile in the adjacent universe, the Loki Odinson stands defeated on Bifrost while his world's Asgard burns. Wielding Loki's own hammer, Requiem bludgeons his head. She then turns to Phyla-Vell and Moondragon, whom she has snared in energy bands on top of a pile of defeated heroes. Requiem explains that she has five Infinity Stones, and demands to know where did they hide the Reality Stone. After kissing Phyla-Vell, Moondragon seemingly betrays her, offering to cut a deal with Gamora. She reveals that she hid the stone and erased her memories of the events, but she can learn of its location by probing her mind, but only if she let her have Phyla. When Requiem peeks into Moondragon's mind, she locks her in mental combat so Phyla can take her down. Phyla warns Moondragon that she has to sever the connection and can't be inside Requiem's mind when she kills her. However, Requiem snaps out of it, having learned the location of the stone. They quickly escape, with Moondragon having used the Infinity Stones while in Requiem's mind to shoot herself and Phyla out of their universe, and they proceed to break the barrier between realities, hoping the universe they're escaping to is different.

Back inside Warp World, Loki and Emma confront Ms. Kang, the amalgam of Kang and Ms. Marvel. She's confused, so Emma reveals her the separate beings she is meant to be. Combining her and Loki's power, Emma splits her into her original forms. As Ms. Marvel and Kang reel from discovering that their shared life was actually not real, Loki explains that he knew Requiem would read his mind, so he specifically imagined the people he needed in his journey mashed together so that she would subconsciously create them, and welcomes them to the team he's putting together.

The team teleports to the Arctic, where they meet Little Monster, the combination of Ant-Man and the Hulk. Little Monster refuses to join them and attacks Loki. Emma grabs him and uses the Power Stone to split him. Bruce Banner suggests coming up with a plan, but Loki states that they have one, and that he's not part of it. Using her telepathy, Emma brings out the Hulk, much to the monster's irritation. Loki explains that he has gathered them together because each are uniquely suited to wield an Infinity Stone when the time comes. Ms. Marvel objects, stating she doesn't want to, but Loki disregards her and has Emma help Kang pinpoint their last member.

Loki and his allies teleport and find themselves outside Warp World, still within the confines of Soul World, witnessing the dimension's corruption. Loki's team runs to assist Warlock in fighting Davondra. They engage the monster, but it swallows Warlock. Ant-Man reluctantly comply with Emma's orders, and shrinks down to help Warlock. He goes inside Davondra and enlarges to giant-size, tearing the creature apart from the inside and retrieving Adam Warlock. As the creature pulls itself back together, Warlock expresses that they need everyone to fight Davondra. However, Loki indicates that they actually need Warlock to show them the door out of Soul World so they can face Gamora in the real world. Aggrieved, Warlock holds Loki by his throat, scolding him for trying to leave and asserting that the fight is in Soul World. Since they need to leave, Emma uses her powers to rally numerous heroes of Warp World to fight with Warlock. All over Warp World, these heroes are fighting manifestations of Davondra, which started emerging, and heed Emma's call. A saxophone player also responds to Emma's message. In a trance, he steps out of the stage where he's playing with his band. The image of Drax the Destroyer appears in his reflection against a window.

In the real world, Gamora has finished unearthing the Quarry of Creation, and stands above a impenetrable barrier. Flowa wonders if the heroes won't mount a defense. Gamora declares that it doesn't matter since once Davondra's hunger is sated, the creature will spin a new thread and create a new reality, which she will weave. To her disgruntlement, Gamora tries to break the barrier to no avail. The hallucination of Thanos tries to convince her to use the Infinity Stones to bring him back, but she ignores him. Flowa comments that even if Gamora can't breathe out of the universe, whatever will happen will be worth it, as Gamora soon realizes that she's being surrounded by the Council of Watchers.

Brief Summary

While the warped heroes of Warp World fight Devondra, Loki's team find a set of Infinity Stones that Gamora unwittingly created when she copied the universe into Soul World. Loki divides the stones between his team based on each person's individual talents, since a wielder's mastery over the aspect of a certain Infinity Stone allows them to unlock the full power of another.

The Phyla-Vell and Moondragon from the adjacent universe arrive and confront Gamora for the actions of their universe's Requiem. They're soon joined by Loki and his team. They use the Infinity Stones to defeat Gamora, snatching from her several of the Stones from the set in her possession. However, Loki pickpockets Ant-Man and Ms. Marvel, making a complete set of Infinity Stones. He sends Gamora, Phyla-Vell and Moondragon into Soul World and escapes through the barrier in the bottom of the Quarry of Creation. He finds himself in another universe, with Celestials being surrounded by countless of Infinity Stones. In the meantime in Soul World, Arthur Douglas is recruited by Peet (an amalgam of Groot and Star-Lord) to join the battle against Devondra.

Detailed Summary

At the Quarry of Creation, Gamora tries to unsuccessfully cut through the dimensional barrier using the Infinity Blade while being observed by the Council of Watchers. She disregards them, asserting that nothing is going to exit the Soul Gem unless she wants to, and not until Devondra has devoured everything within.

Meanwhile inside the Soul Gem, Loki's team and the warped heroes of Warp World are taking on Devondra. When approached by Soldier Supreme, Adam Warlock assures him they will undo Requiem's actions. However, Soldier Supreme expresses he doesn't consent to being unmade, prompting Warlock to re-evaluate what to do with Warp World. He theorizes that if Devondra is defeated, Warp World could continue existing safely, but for that, Loki's team needs to control the Infinity Stones and succeed against Gamora outside Soul World.

Loki's team is walking through a wasteland and Emma Frost directs them to a hut on top of a tree. Loki tries to go inside, but Emma interjects and takes Ms. Marvel by the arm, arguing they need a woman's touch for what comes next. Kamala and Emma come aboard and find a younger version of Gamora playing with Warp World's Infinity Stones. Emma asks Gamora to borrow the stones, but is met with silence. Kamala asks her if she's been there for a long time, and Gamora explains that has been the case ever since her parents died, and that it's her safe place where he is not allowed. Outside, Loki explains to the rest of the team that when Gamora folded the universe she unwittingly copied everything into the Soul Gem, including the Infinity Stones. Emma and Kamala return from the hut, holding hands with young Gamora, who has agreed to let them borrow the stones. Loki then divides them with the members of his team, giving each person a specific stone due to the new nature of the artifacts: mastery over an aspect of each stone allows a person to unlock the full potential of another. As a telepath, Emma is given the Power Stone; as the most powerful, Hulk is given the the Space Stone; due to his ability to manipulate space with Pym Particles, Ant-Man gets the Time Stone; Kang's mastery of time earns him the Reality Stone, Loki's multiple deaths and rebirths and the fact that he thrives in multiple realities gets him the Soul Gem; and Ms. Marvel's incorruptible soul earns her the Mind Stone. Loki opens a portal, and prepares to recite his team a plan.

In the real world, Flowa alerts Gamora of a portal opening up, and the Moondragon and Phyla-Vell from the adjacent universe come through. They attack Gamora, accusing her of destroying their universe, but Gamora deflects their attacks effortlessly. Loki's team surprises Gamora, and she prepares to attack. However, Emma Frost turns into diamond, shattering Gamora's Infinity Blade when she swings it against her. Gamora is shocked, giving Ms. Marvel an opening to snatch Gamora's Power Stone from the broken blade. Hulk grabs Gamora by the arm and uses the Space Stone to fly away. He punches Gamora repeatedly, causing her to ricochet on the walls of the Quarry. Visibly hurt, Gamora stands up, asserting that she still needs to remake the universe. Kang confronts her, using the Reality Stone to summon countless duplicates of the incarnations of himself. Gamora fights Kang's army, declaring that once Devondra devours the old universe, she will remake it, ensuring that nobody will have to suffer and that she won't have to live through her life. She then notices that Ant-Man is nowhere to be seen, and though he's found out, he manages to grab the Reality and Space Stones from her before shrinking away. Loki observes the battle in delight, and grabs a couple of normal rocks from the ground.

Reeling from the turn of events, Gamora is attacked psychically by Ms. Marvel, taunted by a vision of Thanos, and then plummeted by Emma Frost. In the meantime, Loki approaches Ms. Marvel and Ant-Man to congratulate them for their contributions to the fight, pickpocketing the stones they were wielding and those they took from Gamora. As Moondragon and Phyla-Vell prepare to deal the final blow against Gamora, Loki opens a portal and teleports them away. When Kang and Emma Frost confront him about the sudden change of plans, Loki flaunts the complete set of Infinity Stones, prompting Ant-Man to realize Loki switched the stones he had with regular rocks. Loki uses the stones to traverse the barrier. As he fades away, he informs them that if he doesn't return, it's because he found something better. Hulk slaps Ant-Man for losing his stones to Loki, knocking him unconscious. He then tries to break through the barrier to no avail. While writing everything down, Flowa expresses surprise that Loki succeeded in his plan.

Loki finds himself in a cavern, and perceives that he's in a different universe. The Infinity Stones drop on the floor, having become inert outside of their original universe. Loki puts them on his coat's pocket to keep them just in case. As he makes his way outside the cavern, Loki finds countless of Infinity Stones incrusted throughout its surface. Once outside, Loki encounters a group of Celestials floating surrounded by more stones and calls them out as his puppet masters.

Back inside Soul World, the warped heroes are fighting a losing battle. Soldier Supreme notices Devondra keeps regenerating and can't be killed. Warlock notices a portal opening, through which Gamora, Moondragon and Phyla-Vell appear. They all join forces and attack Gamora to take the stones that remain in her possession.

Somewhere else, Arthur Douglas rushes on his car with his wife Yvette through a wooded road. Yvette warns him that they might crash, and Arthur tells her that he's having visions of total destruction, that there's a battle up ahead where he needs to go. The car runs over a manifestation of Devondra and crashes into a tree. They both wonder what did they hit, and Arthur laments he doesn't know what is he exactly supposed to do even though he feels that something is wrong. He leans on the tree they crashed into and it reveals itself to have a face, uttering "I am Peet." The tree changes form into a humanoid amalgam of Groot with Star-Lord's clothes and grabs Arthur by his clothes. Peet flies away with Arthur, and he promises Yvette he will return, though if he doesn't, he tells her that he loves her.
