History
In an unexpected turn of events, Gwenpool decided to become a supervillain. She marked her descent into villainy by unmasking Spider-Man and exposing his secret identity. It only took the Goblin Army one day to take advantage of this revelation and bombard Miles' home, killing all of his family, including his wife and kid.[1]
After the superhero community learned that Gwenpool was behind it, as well as other evil actions, Spider-Man joined forces with Vincent Doonan and Terrible Eye to travel back in time and remove Gwen from the picture. They sought the help of Gwenpool's brother Teddy since she didn't know he was also in the comic book world like her,[1] and had him force Gwen's younger self through a portal that took them to a pocket universe that recreated Gwen's original world, and erased her memories of her time as Gwenpool in the process.[2]
Gwen managed to escape, regain her memories and return to the Marvel Universe, where Spider-Man, Vincent and Terrible Eye confronted her. Before trying to kill Gwen's past self, Miles decided to recount what happened. This resulted in a flashback within the story which the evil Gwenpool used as a gateway to reach her younger self.[1] The evil Gwenpool confronted the future heroes, before taking her younger self to the Gutter Space, she knocked down Vincent and Terrible Eye, scrambling Miles' spider-sense long enough to get a clear shot and kill him.
However, since it was an editorial mandate within the comic book world that Gwenpool couldn't kill somebody like Spider-Man, Miles was simply returned to his time, recalling his death at Gwenpool's hands as nothing more than an odd dream.[3]Attributes
