History

The Jackal presumably has a history similar to his mainstream counterpart. He was hired by SHIELD to study the Venom symbiote so it could be turned into a weapon. However, he betrayed SHIELD and gave the symbiote the ability to reproduce copies of itself, which it used to infect various people and structures in New York City. The Jackal then attempted to obtain the Venom symbiote that was attached to Spider-Man. Spider-Man defeated him but not before Jackal gave him a serum that enhanced Spider-Man's symbiote. Jackal recovered and stole a sonic device SHIELD planned to use to stop the symbiote invasion. Spider-Man tracked Jackal to Central Park and defeated him once more before using the sonic device to free New York City form the symbiotes.
