Synopsis for "You For Me, Babe!"

Millie takes part in a charity show where she bumps into the band the Gears and agrees to do a song with them. The band are glad but their arranger Ellen Early is unhappy. With the event a success the charity decide to take it on a two week tour and Millie agrees to sing as well as model. However Ellen is uncomfortable and privately jealous. Millie notices this and also Russ's dismissive attitude to Ellen. Later Milli learns that Ellen has show business ambitions herself and took the job in the hope of finding openings. Koko tells Millie that Ellen joined because Russ had promised her the chance to sing and because she's sweet on Russ, but never gets the chance. Millie realises she has to sort out the mess but with Russ having feelings for her, she worries he will hold her leaving against Ellen. On the final day of the tour Millie hears Ellen singing amazingly and decides on her action. That night she models and then fakes a sore throat just as the band is about to go on. Koko suggests Ellen as a substitute and is a sensational hit. The band realised they were tricked but don't mind. Upon returning to New York, Russ askes Ellen out.
