History

Nephew of Mar-Vell, Minister Marvel used the power of his son Marvel Mind to suggest to the people of Hala in remaining on the planet despite the impending arrival of the Phoenix Force, convinced that its passage to the planet would bring his people a great gift and he would ferorm his name, which would no longer be associated with that of a traitor. As the Phoenix's arrival approached, he revealed his plans to his son before killing him by cutting his throat and then committing suicide upon the arrival of the resurrected Mar-Vell.
