History
Miskatonic University was in Vermont, near Rutland. Mathematician Dr. T.W. Erwin gave the college prestige with his research about parallel time, and he kept his Parallel-time projector there. The Enchantress, impersonating the Valkyrie and helped by the Lady Liberators, once kidnapped Erwin and forced him to take her to the projector, at the University. The Enchantress was then stopped by the Scarlet Witch before she could use the item.[1]

- Miskatonic University is the name of a fictional educational institution created by H.P. Lovecraft for his own mythology, and first seen in his story "Herbert West, Reanimator" (published in 1922).
- Lovecraft's Miskatonic University was set in Arkham, Massachusetts, not Vermont (but still in New England), suggesting that Earth-616's Miskatonic University is a different center.
