History
Following his corruption of key members of the Quiet Council, Mr. Sinister launched a plot to bring the entire planet under his control. A key part of this was extending the Resurrection Protocols to humanity, through aritifical X-Genes which in fact corrupted those who underwent treatment. After a year of corrupting key Krakoan mutants and bringing them under their control, his proxies on the Quiet Council lobotomized Krakoa and pinned the blame on Orchis. With global resurrections thrown into turmoil, Earth's superheroes united and destroyed Orchis.[4]
Moira was one of few members of the organisation to survive, fleeing into space where they continued resisting the Sinisters. Despite their efforts, the Sinisters succeeded in not only conquering the planet but also destroying all interstellar empires that opposed them, becoming the dominant life forms in the galaxy within a milennium, before splintering into various warring factions. Moira and a Doombot, the last survivors of Orchis, hid themselves on the desolate, abandoned remains of Earth.[5]
Long since exiled from the council and seeking to reclaim his Moira Engine, Sinister tracked Moira down, offering to provide her with a life she could love and not merely endure. Using her psychic imprint, he managed to track down the location of the Moira Engine, planning to kill the clone of Moira bound to the current timeline, which would allow him to reset the timeline and erase the hellish milennium that had passed.[5]
The pair made their way to the World Farm, which quickly came under attack by the Empire of the Red Diamond. Moira broke away from the field of battle and made her way to Sinister's lab. Here, she encountered a mortally wounded Mother Righteous, as well as her former lover Banshee. Moira killed Banshee and used the Reliquary Perilous on her clone, ensuring that all the knowledge and power Mother Righteous had accrued over the last 1000 years were sent back to her past self. [6]
Sinister caught up with her, and convinced her to allow him to upload his data into the clone. Before killing it, Sinister made a failed attempt to ascend to Dominionhood, finding his way blocked by another Dominion. After Sinister was killed by Jon Ironfire, Moira killed the clone and reset the timeline.[6]
By using the Reliquary on the clone, Moira would succeed in foiling the plans of Sinister's past self, by de-powering his Moira-clones, destroying his data and cloning Rasputin IV, Sinister's betrayed follower, in the past, ensuring she would stop him.[6]Attributes
